I am currently taking domperidone but only have about a weeks worth left. My dr is next to useless and had never even heard of it being used for milk production (took me having a meltdown for him to give it to me....he phoned birthcare in the end as he didnt believe me!!!)
So anyway, Floyd is now breasfeeding more, he had stopped, and I express three times a day. Would you suggest still taking it but a smaller dose? (im taking 2 tabs 3 times a day) or stopping it, do you go cold turkey etc?

hope that makes sense!

Sarahm, I am taking 3 tabs 3 times a day, and this is the only thing that allows me to BF.

I have read a lot of Jack Newman's stuff about domperidone (http://www.nbci.ca/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=5&Itemid=17?) , and he recommends dropping one tab every 4-5 days and see how your supply goes. Keep dropping a tab if your supply stays the same; if it decreases go to the previous dose.

Good luck!

the day i stopped taking it my milk dried up. i had a REALLY bad supply though, expressing 8 times a day for 30 mins nd would still be lucky to get 100mL in a whole day. id say if your supply is ok and it is just to help then id go with dropping the one at a time and see how you go, that way you can always add it back in if things dont go well.
