The last few days Harry has not been himself - feeds every 2-2.5 hours (normally feeds every 3-4 hours), but doesn't feed well. He has always spilt after feeds but recently the spilling has been a lot more but only after some feeds. Also he sometimes gets the hiccups. He is mostly BF, with 2 FF a day.

He has been waking up screaming from his day sleeps after being down for about 45mins and still obviously tired (normally he is a good sleeper). But the last couple of nights has slept from 7pm to 6am. He also cries when I lie him flat to change or to wrap him; we keep his bassinet elevated but he has never cried like this when paid down flat.

Is this reflux? If it is, isn't it supposed to be getting better as bub gets older rather than worse? Also, he only poos every 3-4 days, sometimes longer... could he be constipated?

Any advice would be great!!

Not sure if its reflux hun but if it is it could be getting worse... Jakes started getting worse around 3 months and he needed to be medicated.

Locky has been getting worse. :(
Sounds like what he does too. Wakes up screaming, sometimes cant be laid flat etc. We often walk around with him all afternoon. He doesnt sleep more than 30mins at a time during the day. Also- L swallows heaps of air during the refluxy times, which only makes things worse.
We are trying smaller feeds, alternating with big feeds. Dont think its making much diff though.

Its tough- hang in there.

Oh- distraction is the BEST thing we have found. Go out, visit someone, etc they tend to pull out the best behaviour then everyone thinks you joking when you say how awful afternoons can be..... grrr Little monkeys.

Jackson's reflux was picked up at 3 months. It is supposed to peak between 4 and 6 months. The majority of kids start getting better then.

To be honest, it sounds exactly like reflux to me. I would see your GP as it is better to get onto it early. The right management can completely change a baby.

Thanks guys. We've been to see the GP this afternoon, and she thinks it sounds like reflux but that he is also constipated so we are getting that sorted and seeing how he goes before getting meds for reflux. Hopefully it does the trick and I can have my happy baby back.
