Haha I'm a grammar witch too!

DH has been taught by his mother to say things like, "she DONE that" instead of "she DID that". Now that's annoying. I've just had to stop myself correcting him all the time, because clearly at his age he's not going to change.

Becks it used to pi$$ me off when they did urban stuff in the abandoned houses out the back of the housing area down here and you'd hear the blanks going off all night I didn't have kids though, I just liked to study in peace!

I hate neighbours that let their freaking stupid dog bark for a full hour without doing anything to shut him up - even though they are just sitting at their dining table ignoring him! In the meantime he has driven my DH & I crazy and woken our toddler half a dozen times - and it's always right on her bedtime! Grrrr!

The people that live behind us that think it's ok to ride their zippy noisy little pit-bike up and down their gravel driveway and the street at all hours, and the fact that every morning at 6am they bang their doors etc and wake ayja (her room is next to the fence) and the fact that their sensor light is sometimes left on and it shines right through her curtains and right down the hallway into our room.

oh and the kids in our street that play rugby in the middle of the road who don't fricken move when you go to drive down the street, and sometimes throw the ball at the car (mike's stopped once and gave them a bollocking, that stopped them for about a week), they're out there till all hours and i get so grumpy cos they just hang around and often at the end of our driveway cos one of them lives next door, they just loiter and it's sooo annoying. Mike is always worried that he's going to hit one on the way backing out of the driveway cos they think they have right of way and just walk on past or jump out in front of the car!!!! ARGH, even after ringing the police about it... they're still out there and with summer coming it's bound to get worse and be later in the night. (these kids would be about 8yrs up to 13, all boys, from about 3 or 4 houses down the street... what's wrong with their backyards, they are huge, and much safer.

Oh, I am the biggest gramma fiend as well. The shouldn't of/have thing riles me. But so does "I will try and do this" rather than "I will try TO do this". Try and And don't work, because 'and' assumes success! That's an obscure one, huh?

I also hate peope mucking up your/you're and there/their.

Oh, and people who don't spell check their Facebook updates?!?!?

Don't I sound like a proper cow?

What else annoys me?
- DH putting the recycling on the floor by the rubbish bin instead of in the recycling bin
- Coffee grinds left on the bench
- Bad customer service
- When the internet breaks down
- Knicker wedgies

Edited to add Knicker wedgies as I suffer!!!

I hate that the dogs next door (9 in total!) sometimes spend the whole day barking and my dog never ever barks!

It annoys me when people stress about the smallest things and have to off load it onto everyone else, plus when you try to put a positive spin on it they always have a negative come back!

Spelling & grammar annoy me at times, but text language drives me insane when it is used for anything other than texts!

And most of all people who spell my name wrong when it is right there in from of them on FB, or I spell it out to them over the phone TWICE! and they still get it wrong. What is so hard about A.I.M.E.E???? My Nana still spells it Aiimmee!!!!

I agree on the whingers! My two main things with that are:

People who whinge about being fat and needing to lose weight and then eat junk food constantly.

People who whinge about being poor and then take out huge HPs on big screen TVs etc that they can't afford.

And my major grammar gripe is people who write "your" when they mean "you're"

People who bring their sick kids over ( and don't bother to tell you they are sick) then pretend its /teething/tiredness or whatever.

I always put this, so here goes

I HATE HATE HATE it when people don't get thier pants/jeans/trousers hemmed or taken up or even fold them up and they walk around on the bottom of them. ICK. And they get all manky and worn and yuck. And then they wear them to their jobs. YUCK. Totally unprofessional, tacky and just plain slobby. If you can't hem them yourself, take them to the drycleaners and spend $10 onthem doing it.

Oh and CROCS on people older than about 8. Yuck. They really annoy me. ESPECIALLY when worn with trackies and polar fleeces.

GRRRRRRR my neighbour's dog bugs me too. Actually, it's more the neighbours as they leave the poor dog out the back all day so it barks whenever it hears a noise in our kitchen

Bad customer service makes me    And it's particularly bad over here. I am TRYING to get in touch with a company that sold us some furniture ... it was sposed to be delivered in JULY but the shipment was delayed so they said it would be "early August." Now I want to know when they're coming but their "customer service hotline" is only available from 9.30 - 1pm and 2pm - 4.30pm and even during those times it's impossible to get someone to answer a phone

OK, calm down now ....

YES!! I HATE tail-gaters too and people who dont park properly and people who dont indicate when turning or changing lanes or on round-a-bouts and if you have to join the motorway but a car wont let you in so you have to wait until they pass and then a couple meters down the road they decide to change lanes anyway for no reason, especially when your leaving Porirua and need to get across to the right side within a short distance. GRRR.

Oh and people who steal mums & bubs and disabled car parks when they dont need them.

Basically just inconsiderate people.

And i hate text talk if its used in anything other than texting.

Oh and the thing that is REALLY annoying me at the moment is my so called friends. If your not going to invite me or include me in something when you know i would love to do it with you dont come to me afterwards to brag about it!!!!!!!! And dont ignore me if i need to talk to someone but then expect me to listen to all your problems!!!!!!

Good to get off my shoulders hehe

ETA: Oh and on the topic of names, i hate having to say my name to someone 10 times until they can pronounce it properly, i usually give up before they get it right. I dont see how hard it is. It is pronounced ATH-KNEE the I is silent in Aithne. It is NOT pronounced ATH-EE-NEE.

Ok im going to stop now. I have too many things that annoy me. But on the bright side i have just as many things that dont annoy me hehe

oh and I just read some of the others (cause I want to moan too LOL) and the text talk or in my case slang talk anonys me too unless in a text....

I come from the north east of Uk where there is a very strong accent but really do they need to spell the words on facebook like they say it - should be spelt properly (will go find an example!)

NEET = NITE
MUNY = MONEY
AVIN = HAVING

aye if av gt the muny love we mite just hav to hav a drink in the house a need to save for my jolly's he he = YES IF HAVE GOT THE MONEY LOVE WE MIGHT HAVE TO HAVE A DRINK IN THE HOUSE AYE, NEED TO SAVE FOR MY HOLIDAYS... (Nobody knows this person so not broadcasting thier converstaion as such lol)

Now I am all for not spelling things properly (I am terrible) but some words are easy to spell and should be spelt! I also abreviate but not to that extent!

What's annoying me, is when my flatmate drinks (as in alcohol) and then plays with my daughter.

Though I have talked to her about her drinking and being around my daughter.

On Wednesday she was playing with my daughter and I knew she'd been drinking, as there was a cask of wine laying on her bed. So I went down there and said, how much have you drunk, she's like, only about 1 glass, while slurring her speech by the way. And you so don't do that after 1 glass... So I told my daughter to get upstairs and told the flatmate, you know the rules, if you drink you stay away from my daughter as I don't want her around alcohol.

I mean the first time this happened she was trying to undress my daughter for a bath and by the way my daughter can do that herself. I told her leave her and she'll get undressed herself. Went upstairs and heard my daughter crying. Went down to check, flatmate was trying to pull my daughters clothes off, though I'd told her to leave her be, she kept trying to undress her, I said "put her down and let her do it" and she kept trying to undress her, so I said "put her down now!", "as you are stressing her out and she'll see having a bath as a negative thing and I don't want that". So finally she left her alone and said "it's ok I'm a qualified Nanny" to which I responded "if you were her nanny you would be getting fired right now".

It was partly her trying to undress my daughter why I was annoyed, but mostly because she'd been drinking.

What made me snap and go a bit mad at the flatmate was a few weeks ago when I was on an important phone call, toll call about my Mum being in hospital. And my drunk flatmate kept picking up the other phone every 20 seconds or so. I would keep telling her to stop it and it happened all throughout the 45 min phone call. So then I got off the phone for an hour so she could use it. Got on the phone again, which was also a toll call after an hour and she kept doing the same thing.

So the next day I was a bit harsh and approached her while she was cooking tea (so she couldn't walk away) and told her that wasn't on and to sort out her drinking, as it's not on. I didn't get a sorry from her about the phone crap, just an excuse, which was "oh I was trying to call my Dad in Oz".

She is 34 you see, so I expect some more maturity.

I told her look, maybe seek some counselling and deal with your issues, instead of drinking you troubles away, as you may have noticed, they don't go away and it only makes things worse.

Basically just inconsiderate people.

umm you know its in the road code you have to indicate going off the round about even when going straight dont you lol

I also hate the - my boy is sick and all you get back is 'oh he has that too or ohh I had that last week'

hubby leaving dirty washing by the kitchen door instead of putting it in the wash house or in a pile in the bathroom - and I dont mean behind the bathroom door!
when hubbys expects me to know where everything is eg undies. when he doesnt put them out to even wash!

I cannot stand the word 'doona'!!!! It absolutely grates on me... and DP says it sometimes just to annoy me!

I also get wild with tail-gaters, esp the ones that fly up ya rear and then drive a metre from ya bumper on the open road... what is the point??? I'm always telling DP i wish I had a flashing sign in the back window that I could type different messages into to tell these annoying people what they are doing wrong!

Bex I thought you have to indicate in and out even when going straight through? mind you I never do the in one as it seems ridiculous!

North Shore drivers that seem to all like to drive at 60+ km/h and because I do 55 tops they all screech up behind me and then overtake dangerously. Drives me nuts.

This weather is annoying me too lol. I want to have my washing dry in less than 24hrs (we don't own a dryer)

I'm also a grammar "Nazi".

Your = belonging to you ie: It's your cup of tea.
You're = YOU ARE ie: You're a silly sausage.

There = It's over there.
Their - It's their house.
They're = THEY ARE ie: They're over there, in their house.

Also bought/brought.

I think I just get annoyed at the incorrect use of apostrophes and contractions.

And walk-stalking.
Much like tail-gating in a car, but when someone is walking SO closely behind me.
If I slow down and move over PASS ME! Don't slow down and keep behind me.

I think it's a personal space issue.

I think I'm just in a crap mood. But I feel better for getting it off my chest.
