LOL - I'm in a house full of boys, so it's a right of passage for fitting in - any extra pregnancy wind gets bonus points in the boy scale of boy-like behaviour. Maybe it's the boy genes seeping through into your system?

Lol, I don't know if its more or less gross, but mine seems to be coming more from up top than from behind. I am so embarrassing after a meal, I can't seem to stop burping! Do like Deez I say, blame it on the baby!

I think it must be an EDS thing too Maree - we can virtually have competitions in this house ! Our little girl is doomed LMAO (We were out to dinner last weekend at friends/colleagues of his place and Rols just let one rip in the middle of dessert, all I could do was laugh !!)

man I wish I could! I dont burp, never do pregnant or not and its soooo uncomfortable and makes me feel sick, probably why I get indigestion and reflux so bad. As for the other end I think Ive got better as baby has got bigger although hubby might disagree. I think him and Kobe do it enough for me and baby

Hehe, thats gotta be bad if he's making himself sick!!
I maintain, it's the baby! When Ella was born she use to wake us up she'd fart so loud. It was amazing, and hubby was so proud

Haha what a neat forum ..... I too have wind. I also have crohns disease which doesn't help at the best of times. the worst is I find I have to make myself burp to get rid of a block and sometimes makes me sick. Glad to know I am not on my own. I could never own up to my husband as he just doesn't think its right and 'claims' hes never farted (this is an on going joke in our family as both my kids are freely burping and farting hehe)although since being pregnant its be easier to just 'let it rip' so says the saying. Told him this kids is definalty a burper and farter.

how do you make yourself burb? Ive never been able to and by brothers and sisters used to try to teach me but I jsut cant do it. My mum never farts in front of my dad and my sister never does in front of anyone ever! My sister and I just go for it and they think we are so gross!

If we didn't burp or fart at all it would all collect in our bowels and we would eventually implode and die Hence my alternating sayings of "It's gotta come out somehow !!" or "Better out than in !" Hehehe

One of my previous midwives told me that while we are pregnant our metabolism slows down so that our body can pull as much nutrients as possible from our food... so with all the slowly decomposing mush in our systems it's not really surprising all us preggy ladies seem to have an excess of wind!

Yea and because its all slowed down and taking its time "decomposing"....thats why they dont smell like roses anymore!!

He he
