Still no morning sickness (thank heavens) but very emotional and tired!

I've had 2 cries today alone and both over ridiculous things.

Oh... and baby brain. I ran a bath - or tried to - without putting the plug in first, and said goodnight to DH twice.

Hey, we are going to be finding out again too.

I have been have some good baby brain moments too, but mine are calling people the wrong names and forgetting the names of normal everyday objects and mixing up my word sounds in every second sentence, like "my tolds are coe.

I am also so so so so tired, It cant just be in my head. I keep trying to just ignore it, but I am so exhausted I just want to close my eyes.
Queasy all day especially if I let my tummy get hungry.
And I had to Marshall at the school cross country today and some dad parked a trailer with bails of Haylage right behind me, with the wind catching the smell straight to my nostrils, I asked my DH who is principal of the school to get him to move it and he just laughed. I'll give him laugh.

Well I went to the docs today - got referrals for 2 sets of hcg bloods (tomorrow and Monday) and a referral for a dating scan (just cos I can) which I'll get at 6 weeks.

haha - so funny that theres hardly anyone in this thread and I'm talking to myself... la la la la....

I'm always here just lurking...

I got my HCG results back yesterday and they are going up nicely, my midwife put me at 41/2 wks just from looking at my levels, so FXed.

I have been fairly unwell the last few days. So so so tired and starting to feel like I am getting something. I am so zapped of energy but am not doing anything.

My DH has been so sweet though, stayed home from work to look after me and DS, he came home from the chemist this morning with a appointment card the beauty clinic down the road.

Date Posted: 04 September 2009 at 8:37pm
Thats great that your HCG levels are going up Buzzy. Your ticker showing you have 247 days to go is slightly daunting haha

Your DH sounds so sweet - it makes such a differnce when you have good support. Mine is calling me twice a day to 'see how I am' - too cute!

Fab, let us know how they go?

I also have a dating scan booked, but only on the 14th. if you're only 6/7/8 weeks I take it it would be an internal scan? Hate to go in expecting something different and be surprised by that!

I had a dating scan at 5w 4d last time (cos I was spotting) and they did it externally - saw and heard the heartbeat. I know quite a few people have had them internally though (yucky!!).

AzzaNZ - at my first scan I had an external one by my dates I should of been 7 weeks however I had a guy who said he cant see a heartbeat but could if he did an internal one - but he doesn't/wont do them
I had to go back a week later and confirmed bubs was 12 days smaller.

conclusion: go in expecting to get an internal one done but be happy if you don't have one! KWIM?

Hey guys. Congrads to all the soon to be mums.
When do you normally have your first scan? I lost my last one at 5 weeks so really want to make sure there is a heartbeat this time before I get too excited. Can you have one at 6 weeks if you request it? I think I'll tell my parents tonight. My mum thinks somethings up as she keeps asking if I'm ok. Really tired and my boobs are SOO sore!

If you say your unsure of your dates you can usually get your doctor or midwife to send you for a earlier scan.
I think most people will send you for one at 6 weeks minimum

Yay MommaPine - we are due date buddies! Let me know your age (if you want to share!), and whether you are going to find out the sex.

Newmum2b - I just asked my doc for a dating scan and he was happy to refer me. I think if you lost your last bubba so early on last time it might give you some peace of mind to get one. I know it will make me feel more relaxed once I see the heartbeat. Good luck for telling your Mum!! So exciting

I had an ectpoic and then a MC so i am always ent for an early scan 2 see everything is in the right place.
With my DS I had no idea of dates so they sent me for date scan, external 1st and then internal to see HBeat.

Great to see this list getting bigger and bigger.

Can we start a FOOD list.

I know what I can and can't eat but I am running out of ideas that dont make me feel ill either thinking about it or once i've eaten it.

I looked at the April thread and someone suggested porridge, tried it and no was not a good choice.
I walked around the supermaket but not alot took my fancy.
Any things I have not yet thought of would be great

The one thing I can eat lots of but is not so good is (I'll start the list)

Chocolate Dairy Food
Chocolate milk
Supreme crackers
Mashed potato

Amybaby,
I am 37, soon to be 38 and yes we will find out as soon as we can.

This dating scan is all new to me. I am interested to hear more. In the states you don't have your first scan until 10-12 weeks.

Last time I was prego I ate tons of almonds, cheese, and pudding to keep me from getting sick. I don't know what it will be like this time.

Found out on Thursday that I'm pregnant - dream come true, but a bit of a surprise too! Seeing Dr on Monday, think I'm due around the 11th of May. Hope all the other May Mummies are doing well - my baby brain has already kicked in - put juice instead of milk in my coffee and tried to eat cereal with a fork.. thankfully only a wee bit of nausea so far.

I too am suffering through a head cold.  Not fun!  Welcome Kona girl.  We are also keeping a low profile until week 12.  That's why I am on here.  I need to be able to talk to someone besides my husband about my excitement.  It's hard not to tell friends and family back home but when we do we will be able to do it with more confidence.  We will see all of our family the first of November so we will tell them all then.  It's even harder keeping it from my 5 and half year old daughter.  She is desperate to have a brother or sister.

Well blessings to all of you.  Take care of yourselves!

I still can't figure out how to add the ticker updater you all have on the bottom.  Any suggestions??

Welcome Kona girl! Hoping your baby (and all other May babies) stick around!

We've only told a few people close to us - this forum is my outlet so I dont go telling anyone else before 12 weeks.

So far all I really want foodwise is fruit, vegetables and water. I usually loathe fruit and have a serious sweet tooth so its all a bit new to me

I am having cramps a bit too but not lasting ones and they are all over the place.
Whats got me worried is all my symptoms that I had seem to be gone today. I hope its just that the head cold topped with really bad hayfever (which I never get) is taking my mind off everything else.

I had a MC last Nov so am a bit titchy about things too. I am so nervous about my scan. I want to put it off till 7 weeks but my MW wants to see the position before then.

I am usually so uptight and wanting things done asap, this time I am a bit more laid back and just dont want the let down again.

I am wondering if... because my nose is so blocked and I cnat smell all the things that were causing me so much trouble I am not feeling so sick. I will walk round with a peg on my nose for the next 6 weeks.LOL

Have had a nice fathers day with DH but the extra effort to do all the little bits has made me a bit worse for wear. Now I have to cook dinner for the FIL. I always have to do stuff like this when I feel like crap.

Buzzy - I think I'll put my scan off till 6.5 weeks - I'd hate to do it too early and not see the heartbeat just cos I was impatient.

I've had my worst sick day so far today - feeling very pukey this morning. My family thinks I'm having twins cos I feel sick so early - god I hope not!!

I had some stretchy pains yesterday, but not any cramps so far.

Mommapine - you need to get the link that has [URL] at the start of it and put iy in your signature box under your profile.

Welcome Konagirl    Lots of sticky baby dust for us!

Hi there

I'm Sam, 21 and my hubby and I are expecting our first bubby on 14 May 2010 . Not going to find out what it is but we are super super excited! How is everyone else feeling? I have been sick all the time- nibbling on carrots and celery are the only think subsiding it at the mo. Amybaby, I'm also sick all the time too- from the moment I sit up in bed until I go to sleep.

Just interested are all you sickies actually doing the yucky throwing up thing?

I was sick from 5 wks through to about 12/13 wks last time I was Preggas. I was never actually sick though.

This time I thought it had arrived a bit earlier, but I think it was a tummy bug. Apart from the smells and empty tummy getting me I am fine at the moment.
