What does everyone think about the name Jarvi and Lyon for a boy? I really like different names, but are they too different??

I like Lyon, but how would you pronounce it?
Jarvi sounds like a shortened version of Jarvis (which is still unusual)

Is Lyon pronounced Lee-on or Lie-on? I think you might find he gets called Lion a lot, I personally wouldn't use the name for that reason...

Yeah ive only found Jarvi on one baby names website and it was a shortened form on Jarvis but i like Jarvi a lil better. Im pretty sure it would be pronounced Ly-on, and most of us pronounce lion li-in soo its a lil different! Its actually french so i suppose its meant to be lyyyyyon hehe

Yes the place in France called Lyon is pronounced Lee-on so I suspect that would be the correct pronounciation. So you'll probably get a lot of confusion with that one.
I like Jarvi though.

I like unusual names, but am careful with the kids that the name will suit them, any job they want to do, & of course it has to sound good while I am screaming it out at them, lol

They're both great names different but not weird.
Lyon to me is the same as the French city of Lee-on,
I've got a french name and lots of people don't pronounce it correctly so expect that if you use that name.

Yeah i know how to feel mrsg1, my names Bergitte so get it said allll different types of ways! it was annoying at first but now im just used to it i guess. Choosing a name i think has proven to be the hardest part of this whole thing guess i just have to wait and see what he looks like when he pops out. And jazzy i also picture that in my head, yelling the name out and if it seems right haha
