Hi ladies

my couzin is having a baby in 12 weeks and wants to invite about 30 people to her baby shower the trouble is her house is too small and so aside from having it at her friends house where else could she have it in Auckland (preferably the shore or centralish) any ideas would be greatly appreciated! I came up with cafe, restaurant and do lunch or a picinic (but weathers not so friendly at this time of year) also needs to be kid friendly!

any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Try Windsor Cafe on East Coast Bay Road, behind McDonalds, most definately kid friendly, it has toys, books, a bouncy castle, an outdoors playground and they have people that read stories to the kids! They have really cool food too, like cute little cupcakes and stuff! Its a huge cafe, so no worries about having too many buggies all cramped in a small space!

Our coffee group have been there a few times!

I love High Tea at the Langham, but would only be kid friendly for little ones.
It's not central but Butterfly Creek has the playground, farm, train etc so is very kid friendly
Does anyone you know belong to somewhere like Playcentre? We can hire our playcentre for quite cheap on a weekend and it is definately kid friendly plus you would have the place to yourselves as opposed to a cafe etc

www.dutchdelight.co.nz in Birkenhead.

They have fantastic yummy food and a separate kids room with toys, tv etc and will get a babysitter to look after the kiddies if you ask them. Very, very friendly!

The Library Cafe in Onehunga would work.. nice and spacious and has a fence outdoor area and a play area inside.
