i went out to a great dinner saturday and sat next to someone who had definite swine flu... w egot 5 days treatment that ended on wed and this was sat...his doc told him after wed was fine..
if i had known i wouldn't have sat next to him..i did wonder why noone else did:) I was a bit worried but now not freaked at all about it i just wondered if anyone knew the contagious period for it.. ? and if I was going to get it how long before I showed symptoms? I have informed CG, PAFt and MW who all said fine to carry on as long as no symptoms.. i have looked up a few sites but they seem to say different things?

I think it's a fairly short incubation period. Have you visited the MOH influenza.org.nz site?
If he didn't cough, sneeze and you didn't share cutlery etc. then you're probably not infected.

Just gotta say though how awesome are all those people to know that he had just got over that and still let a pregnant woman sit down next to him?

Latest information is that you are infectious from one day before up to seven days after the onset of symptoms.

mw said i can take tamiflu but needs to be in first 48 hours of symptoms..I was like lets just hope it doesnt come to that..she is pretty sure i would have had symptoms by now.
