This is my first time posting on OHbaby - but I have been lurking quite a bit....
I had a miscarriage in February at about 8 weeks. Now we have been TTC for 6months and I am 26 years old. I think I would quite like to go and see my GP so that I can maybe get some tests done or somthing. The question is do you think it is too early for this? I know some advise is to wait for a year but I don’t think I can wait that long! Thanking you in advance for any replies ! XX

Yeah I would head to the Drs too, has AF been regular? Have you thought about charting? There is a great charting thread, and it shows you when you Oved, and is great to make sure your timing the BD well..

I was the same as you, I fell pg and MC'ed just before 8 weeks. It then took us 6 months to fall pregnant again.
I'd definitely go see your Dr. The month before I fell pg my dr said to wait one more month and if it didnt happen he'd start tests and refer me to a Gynae. Thankfully I didnt need it but we were prepared to take that step. Charting my cycles definitely helped with monitoring my cycle and Ov etc but I did get a bit OCD with it   Definitely worth it though Good luck I hope it happens soon for you. ------------- Our Angel July 08 Gone but not forgotten

You can go and see GP and get tests etc done - but they will usually wait until a year is up (unless there is an obvious problem) to refer you to a specialist. ------------- http://lilypie.com">  http://lilypie.com">

Thanks for all your replies.
I don’t think charting is really for me, we just BD every second day. I have decided to give it one more month and then visit my GP. This month I am going to try a little bit of Acupuncture instead. I would also like to see a hypnotherapist - I am reading a book that recommends this, especially after m/c - but my partner thinks that this is way too weird and over the top….so I guess I will let him have his way for now. |

Didn't want to read and run popstress, but would like to wish you well in your attempts! Don't be afraid to head to the Dr as timing is everything.
For us (in our 30's) it was going to take approx 4 years to get onto the IVF public funding waitlist and after 2 years we've decided to go privately (and my hormones weren't playing ball). So at least if there is something going on for you, and you get into the system, then the time may start ticking by before you know it. Hope this may be of some help! Good luck
