Does anyone have a recipe for home made laundry powder that doesn't require Borax?

I have some bought stuff for nappies and the ingredients are baking soda, washing soda, knights castille soap and essential oil of tea tree and lavender. I am going to try and replicate it myself. It is great on the nappies and therefore must be good on everything else!
