I am pretty sure DD is cutting some molars (already has the 8 front teeth). She has red cheeks and is drooling and crotchety

However, she also has a bit of a fever and she vomited last night (hasn't again so far). She is also very sleepy.

Can this all be a sign of teething, or is there another underlying illness here? Pamol seems to bring her back round to her cheerful safe for a while . . . i have looked online and am finding contradiction as to whether fever is a teething symptom or not

thanks

ETA - sorry - didn't mean to post in general!

If I was in your shoes, I'd take the teeth out of the picture and look at it - vomiting, sleepy, fever. Might be worth popping in to the Dr on monday if she hasn't improved.

From the other angle, getting a slight temp when cutting molars is pretty common.

Joel is also getting molars and he has had a temp today....i just put it down to teeth, and once the pamol kicked in he was back to his normal self. His wasn't a hugely high temp though, just under 38.

thanks both - the temp has come and gone today (but as you say, has never been really high) and she had another small vomit - i will see how she goes tonight - she is still having wet nappies etc and she is keeping most things down.

Docs tomorrow though if things aren't better . . .

How is she doing today?  Sounds like teething but the vomiting would have me worried enough to check in at the drs.  Teething stinks!

thanks all!

After a great night's sleep (12 1/2 hours!) she was back to her bouncy old self this morning. I have taken her to daycare and just hope she is ok throughout the day.

She is quite a spilly/vomity baby anyway - if she had been sick again in the night we would have done docs today, but fingers crossed the worst is over. Hope that molar comes through properly soon! can see where it is trying to break through the gum
