Since I came back from Australia a month ago, DP's daughter has had one overnight stay and a few hours on father's day. Normally she is supposed to be with us 5 nights a fortnight.
However her mother has been refusing to release her because she's been sick even though there's really no reason why we can't look after her at our house.
DP has been reluctant to push the issue much as he can still go over to his ex's and see her and is also hoping that he gets the full week of the school holidays which is scheduled to start this Sunday. I keep hoping for the best but the outlook isn't good.
DP keeps saying that I shouldn't get so upset as that's all the ex wants. But to be honest I'm starting to feel really down about the situation. I haven't seen the kiddo for 2 months and she's such a big part of my life. I .
The house isn't the same without her. I'm trying my best to keep postive but I miss my cuddles and slobbery kisses. God I even miss all the extra laundary and the battles we have when trying to get her to try new food.
I hope this sorts itself out soon.

I too hope it sorts itself out soon, Lemongirl I don't have any practical advice or support but didn't want to read and run as you sound pretty down about it all.

Aww - what a lovely step mum you are. I hope it gets sorted soon. Can you both go over there for a visit?

I just wanted to say how great it is to hear a step parent really wanting to see their step child!
No advice though sorry.
