today when i dropped jack to daycare they told me he was having his first transition visit into the over 2 area!! i knew this would happen soon as he's 2 in august, so don't know why, but i burst into tears as soon as i got into the car!!!!
managed to see through the tears to drive home but i couldn't stop crying about it for almost 15mins!!
i'm about to go pick him up and am anxious to hear how he went on his visit...

Vanessa I did the same thing. I found it harder for Kobe changing to the preschool than I did him starting full stop. I think its cos yeah it means they are growing up and not our little boys in the nursery anymore. If its any consilation Kobe is much happier in preschool, he was getting bored in teh nursery cos the kids were so little and his speech and just personality has grown so much since he has been in the next level. Let us know how he got on. Have you started planning his birthday yet?

well he enjoyed his brief 10min visit to the big kids area. he will have another 10mins there on thursday.
i think i was upset as he just seems so small to me compared to the kids in the over2's
it will be a good thing for him i know, he will improve on so much areas of his development i'm sure.
damm preggy hormones! they are reeking so much havoc on me at the moment!
i couldn't believe i cried, it was the first time i got upset about leaving him there.
robyn, no i haven't starting planning his party, have thought about it, but not sure what to do....??

you could always do the chipmunks or playdaz thing if you dont want to have everyone at your house, that was at least the kids will be entertained.

hi
At Jake's daycare the under and over twos are mixed in the morning for about an hour after I drop Jake off. The kids are bigger but they actually look out for him and try and teachhim things. it's really cute. So even though Jack is smaller, he'll be okay!
Scarey for mum though huh! Glad I've got a little while to go.
