Aussie and New Caledonia.
New Caledonia fully wasn't what I was expecting, but once I got over that I loved it. Love Sydney, hated Brisbane, and found the Gold Coast okay.

Only left the country once to visit my partner (now DH) in Florence, Italy. Loved it so much we are making a permanent move there next year!
Now I just have to get on to learning the lingo properly - I don't think my perfect rendition of common italian insults will get me very far

we did a day trip from Munich to Neuschwanstein castle, so not all our time was there. I always find that when I tell people I didn't like Venice they look at me as though I am mad! They always tell me how lovely it was when they went there (which I am sure it could have been ) but it wasn't when I was there!

Have to live up to my online name and answer.
Lived in: NZ, England, Ireland
Visited: Australia, Fiji, Samoa, Norfolk Island, Singapore, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, Belgium, Austria, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Greece, Canada, Vatican City, Italy, Monaco, South Africa, Canada. There's a few more in Europe but I always forget when I think about it.
Would never go back to: Fiji (can't abide their politics and think it's highly overrated), Ireland (overrated) and Belgium (boring).
Best places: Skiing in Austria, visiting the Blue Grotto off Capri. Best place overall would be Italy, but I loved Samoa for being so laid back. Adore the food in Singapore. Would love to go back to Capetown and Venice.
Next on my list to do are the Cook Islands and I want to do the Ghan in Australia.

Hmmm, have lived in Auckland and Sydney.
Have visited: Gold Coast, LA, San Diego, Mexico, Hong Kong, China, Italy, Switzerland, France (we drove overland so did wine country, Milan, Siena, Florence, Rome etc.), London, Texas (only in transit), Florida and Vienna.
Fave place - probably Switzerland, we were in Brienz right up in the mountains.
Least fave place - Vienna - not that I didn't enjoy it, just that I found the experience intimidating as it was just me, my sister and Maya (20 mths) and the language barrier and cultural thing was huge, we were really out of our comfort zone. Which is a good thing, just scary at the time.
Would love to visit Russia, I've always had a bit of an obsession for Russian history...

Best place: I have two!!
CROATIA - I lived there for several months, the most beautiful in the world and the laid back lifestyle rocks!! Dubrovnik is absolutely stunning!
AFRICA - I lived on the back of a safari truck for 3 months with 12 other people, what a fabulous experience!!
Worst place: Probably London, I lived there for just over a year and while its definately a "must see" I have no desire to go back there!

Lived in: NZ, Switzerland (born there) and Papua New Guinea.

I don't remember Switzerland and Papua New Guinea, so best place would have to be NZ (awww).

Best place: Love Bali - use to go every year but about every second now. Can't beat it and an awesome place to take kids. Longer distance - Portugal - amazing beaches, food, lifestyle. Germany/Sweden/Denmark at Xmas - amazing markets and mulled wine.
Wouldn't go back again in a hurry: Spain - Barcelona - dirty and completely over rated in my opinion.
Freakiest place: There are none. No where that I have felt unsafe etc. All places we have driven around etc and done our own thing so no group tours and still felt safe.

Visited: Uk (almost all the places there) Scotland, Zambia, Kenya, Amsterdam, Singapore (Transit count doesn; t it) Hong Kong, Hawaii (even if it was 9pm and only for a couple of hours) America (disneyland twice - yeah baby ) Australia and New Zealand.
Best Place: UK - I get to see my relatives again and America - causew e just went there a year or so ago and really enjoyed it with the kids.

I so wished I had endless money so I could go on trips overseas and educate the kids on other ways of life...
My must place to go before I die - Egypt - it history so intrigues me and I would love to see all its history with my own eyes in the real!

Lived in NZ, Australia and Italy.
Visited Hawaii, Japan, South Korea, UK, Spain, Switzerland.
Worst place: Milan. Industrial, boring and dirty.
Best place: NZ. No doubt about it.
The biggest shock I got when traveling was the stench. No one ever seems to mention that when they rave about their travels. Every big city I went to in Italy, Spain and Asia smelt like raw sewage. It was extremely unpleasant. I think I also spent way too much time looking down at the pavement in Europe to avoid standing in dog diarrhea (cooped up in an apartment al day, you would too).
I was extremely disappointed with Tuscany, too. I'd read so many books and studied so many photos – I was expecting to be swept off my feet with it's beauty. Personally I think a five star lodge in an isolated part of Central Otago runs rings around Toscana.
Wishlist: Croatia, Maldives, USA, The Bahamas and The Caribbean.
Place I wouldn't go back to: Honolulu. Unless I scored a free trip. Nice people and very clean, but just a bit sterile.

Living in Italy was really hard, I was there to teach a 4 yr ols english and so the family would onlt talk in english so they could all improve, great for them but made it hard when I was out on my own and wanted to buy/order things.
Would like to go back to Canada and see more there.

Lived: NZ and UK
Visited: Tonga, Vanuatu, Marshall Islands, Fiji, Australia (Sydney, Gold Coast, Noosa), US (LA, San Fran, San Diego, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Yosemite, New York), Scotland, Mexico, France (Paris), Sweden, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Israel.
Best place: Israel (especially Jersusalem), without a doubt - it has it all: amazing history, fascinating political dynamics (intersection of Judaism/Islam/Christianity), great food, climate, friendly people. (Although flying out of Tel Aviv was a complete nightmare!)
Also loved Stockholm (beautiful) and Vegas (crazy!)
Worst place - probably Egypt, I loved its history but it's too dirty and polluted for me, and I got sick of haggling for everything and people always trying to rip you off. Plus I was pregnant so the dodgy food there made me a bit worried.
And sorry Kiwi2 but Jordan was a bit of a disappointment for me - Petra was amazing but I didn't think that Jordan offered very much else except desert.
Would love to go to: India, if I was just travelling with my DH, and back to the States, if I was taking my daughter.
