Hi girls,
Am short on time, so can't write much of an update, but hopefully will soon. Things are going ok, all tests coming back clear so no answers yet. Everyone believes it is behavioural. Good - but bad because it is hard to fix.

I was wondering if people were free for a meet up? I am not sure how many of you work, but maybe if there was an afternoon next week we could all meet for a picnic in the domain or something? Is there a playground there?
Around about 2pm would be good for us any day.

Alternatively, if we couldn't do something during the day, the mums could get together for a meal somewhere cheap?

If anyone's keen, could you possibly put your thinking hats on and see if something can be arranged? I will try to jump back on here this afternoon/evening to see what the response is.

Would love to meet some of you!!

Hi Laurie

Glad things are going OKish

A get together sounds great. I'm sure it will be a nightmare to get a time that suits everyone but we can try!!

What about next Thursday or Friday? 9am may suit people (except for traffic though it is the school holidays), otherwise 1ish (though that doesn't suit toddlers who have a middle of the day sleep). It may be easiest to go for a mum's dinner (there are some reasonable places in Newmarket).

Votes/thoughts people ....

I can do next friday, and seeing as I'm working across the road from starship at the medschool thursday morning (9.45am-1pm), I can always meet up before or after that? although 9am might be a bit of a pain for some people to get there with traffic?

evenings fine for me.

which also reminds me - laurie, I'm in at medschool almost every monday and thursday, so if you ever want to meet up for lunch, just let me know.

glad you're being looked after.

Glad things are going 'O.K ish' Laurie

Would love to meet up, pretty flexible on times (9/10am or 12.30/1 or 2onwards is good) and most evenings I'm free.

I only live 10min drive from the Hospital and am pretty flexible so better for those living further afield to say what suits them first then arrange accordingly.

Glad to hear things aren't too dire there Laurie

Thurs or Fri are good for us too, no there isn't a playground in the domain, but we could arrange to meet by the band rotunda so there's a bit of shelter just in case (and near ducks and fountains, anything wet is a hit with my boy atm ). JJ normally sleeps 1-4 at the mo but I'm sure we can make an exception for a meetup if the afternoon works best for most people

Hi guys,

Up and down today - had some good solids sessions (well, good for Jackson!) but milk went downhill. Trying to tell myself that tomorrow is another day!

Can we tentatively say Friday at 1pm, somewhere? I will need to confirm with our 'team' on Monday that that's ok. And of course, if they decide to send us home randomly, well....

Otherwise I would so love to meet up with people! Most people are suggesting that Friday is ok.

Who's keen?

Yay! How exciting!!! It'll be cool to meet everyone.

Unfortunately, Jackson got a gastro bug on Saturday. We went straight back into hospital. I think he may be slightly on the mend this evening. If he's not better by Tuesday, it'll probably be safer to can the meet up. But I am almost certain he will be, and I'll get the doc to give us the all clear to socialise.

I'll keep you posted as much as I can. I SO hope he gets better quick, it'll be fun to meet some of the Auckland mummies. :-)

Oh yeah, thanks for bumping, I had forgotten!

Looks like Laurie hasn't been online since Friday, hope Jackson is doing ok.

Why don't we say it is still going ahead, even if they can't make it would still be nice to have another catch up anyway. Weather forecast isn't brilliant unfortunately but I personally like the idea of a picnic in the band rotunda Open to more sheltered suggestions though

Hi girls,

Yep, been hard to get online. I am keen to come tomorrow, but won't bring Jackson sadly. He's still not 100% (it was Rotovirus, nasty, nasty, nasty). He's not contageous anymore but has developed an allergic reaction to the penicillan he was taking for something else, so is covered head to toe in a rash. Poor wee boy! His dad, grandma and great grandma are (were) all allergic, so we kind of expected it.

Hopefully the weather holds out! See you tomorrow at 1pm in the rotunda. :-)

Hi Guys,

I'm so gutted, my boys still have the remains of their cold & my voice is gone and am a bit snuffly still myself so won't be able to join you guys.

I was really looking forward to meeting with you Laurie & catching up with some 'old' yet young faces.

Enjoy tomorrow although as someone else mentioned it's meant to be terential (spel?) rain so I'll cross my fingers that it stays dry for the meet up.

Laurie, if you get around to answering - how long are you in Hospital for, if you know of course?

Urgh I just had a proper look at the weather forecast and it's meant to be pelting down in the middle of tomorrow. Is it too late to change the meeting place to somewhere indoors? Maybe we could meet at the atrium part of the museum (with the bonus that there's a cafe there)? We need to make a decision soon though

I vote for the atrium (and the parking is better on that side of the museum), that way I can grab a coffee too
