Thanks Treen you have opened up a whole new world to me by mentioning this.
I've just had a look on the net and it looks like Glengarry stock it, don't know if there are any close to you.
Surprisingly there seem to be a few options for non alcoholic wines, something I had never even thought about.
Have you tryed the Edenvale one? Is it good?

Hi Didi,

I am searching for a good one and have yet to find it. This one has apparently won a few awards. I may have to go for a drive to Glengarry's. Bit of a mish for me, though, so if anyone knows who else stocks it, let me know.

Well let us know if you do get it and if it's any good, I would love to know.
Am quite excited at the prospect of not having to give up wine

Would you be interested in ordering directly off the net?
Otherwise I would just recommend ringing liquor stores in EA and asking

Or just going into your biggest local store, I am sure they will have it. or an alternative.

They sell it in a tiny liquor store in Pauanui, so it can't be that hard to come by :)

I tried sparkling Fre and it wasn't anything to write home about. I've also tried a Californian non alcoholic wine ($30 too, so you'd think it would be good). It tasted off...

There's no alcohol in it, Bombshell, hence being perfect when you are pregnant. Plus Edenvale is supposedly lower in sugar. Appletisers etc upset my digestive system and I can't have too much sugar (PCOS). I enjoy my wine when I'm not PG, so I'd prefer to find something with a similar taste rather than ginger beers etc.

I think I might order some online rather than go all the way into town for it. I've never really seen a particularly huge wholesaler out this way.

Hi girls,

I just thought I'd tell you that I tried Edenvale at an event a couple of nights ago and wow! It was so much like the real thing I was worried that the waiter had given me the wrong one! Perhaps it was because it's been months since I had a glass of bubbles but I'm telling you, this stuff is great (I confirmed that it was the right one after having a sip on DH's fumey Lindauer).

I totally felt like I was included in with everyone else rather than being the boring square sucking back the orange juice in the corner. It wasn't sickly sweet like Fre or those Californian ones so I even had 3 glasses without feeling sick.

I've just ordered a case for dinner parties and Xmas from the Glengarry's site.

Thank you so much for starting this topic!! I was getting a little sick of having good old fizzy drinks, oj and i had brought a case of appleizter (sorry spelling!) as well. So found the Edendale Shiraz at our local New World today - and i'm so glad i got a bottle! Tastes like the real thing - which makes a nice change for the other drinks available.

Thanks again!!

Ooh, that's good to know the shiraz is good as well as the bubbles. I'll definitely give that one a go, too!
