Sadly, not surprising. I actually thought the stats were higher for 'known' offenders. I work in Older Persons' Health and the figures are equally depressing for elder abuse.  ------------- http://www.alterna-tickers.com">

Jelly - not 'beat up' (although that is one of the actions under elder abuse), but more things like bully them into giving them $, or access to bank accounts, don't help them with their meds, forget to do things that they've said they'll do (take them to the shop, doctor etc), sexually abuse them, neglect them etc. the physical stuff is usually pinching, slapping etc. ------------- http://www.alterna-tickers.com">
