Thanks to the nappy hunt I ordered 2 Mandy Mac Purple Nights nappies from Australia. Feels a bit traitor-ish buying Aussie made nappies but really wanted to try out some dedicated night nappies, and nobody seems to make those in NZ. Has anyone tried them? Or any of the other night naps? These are a fitted nappy with 2 full body layers of bamboo/cotton, and a trifold insert attached that is 4 layers thick, and it comes with 2 extra 4 layer boosters as well. Sounds good to me, can't wait to get them washed and dried and try them out.
Thank goodness the nappy hunt is over so I can stay away from looking at all the goodies on all those sites!

LOL, that's why I didn't do the nappy hunt this year

They sound a bit like http://www.babycuddles.co.nz/cart/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=69 - Baby Cuddles ? Only without snaps and OSFA. I'm about to try a Baby Cuddles so I'll let you know how it goes soon. (The other night time combo I'm about to try is a Tots Bots Flexitots with an extra bamboo booster.)

Otherwise I swear by http://designerbums.wordpress.com/fitted-nappies/ - DesignerBums with a bamboo night booster, have never had a leak with them (and they're so pretty!). I'm only trying alternatives because JJ's bottom isn't agreeing with microfleece inners at the mo.

Good for you!! Everyone deserves a fluffy treat every now and then

The only night nappy we had success with on our heavy-wetting toddler was Designer Bums hemp fitted with bamboo booster. They're fantastic and well worth the investment if you have a heavy-wetter and want to stick with cloth overnight.

Ohhh those Baby Cuddles look good too..and the Designer Bums are gorgeous, I love all those gorgeous hand dyed colours. Theres a lot of lovely other stuff on that site too, if it wasn't going into summer I would be getting one of the merino beanies.
I do like to stick to OSFA nappies if possible though, as this is my last baby I find them a more cost effective option. I had a big gap between my first 2 children and my third, I wish all the awesome MCN's were around when I had the first two!
I got the washing done late today and it wasn't a great drying day so still haven't been able to try out the new nappies..tomorrow night though!
I use pocket nappies during the day, most of what I've got are Bebops, which I have found excellent. Always get so many comments on them when we are out and about too.
And yes, theres a lot to be said for fluffy treats in the post! ;)

Look forward to the reviews, I need a night nappy solution for my major heavy wetter! I've actually gone back to sposies over night, with a empty pocket nappy over top for extra protection.

I tried a Flexitots with the bamboo booster, its a nice nappy, but didn't have the staying power needed for overnight with my heavy wetter, unfortunately.

Oh yeah I meant to update this after trying them.
To be honest I haven't found them as good as I hoped, BUT I've only tried them with one of the boosters so far, think I need to try with both, also I think they may need a few more washes to reach full absorbency. The bamboo fabric takes a lot of drying too.
Another thing I saw on the nappy hunt was brolly sheets. They are a mattress protector that goes on top of the top sheet so you only have to change that, they look quite good but not sure if they come in a cot size. Can't remember which sites on the nappy hunt had them, but I see Mothers Instinct does http://www.mothersinstinct.co.nz/brands/Brolly-Sheets.html - here .
I was thinking of getting some PUL from greenbeans and making my own version, but since I discovered woollen longies and soakers he wears those as pyjama pants and we don't get leaks.
