Hi Ladies
I have a lovely 7 month old daughter who has been in huggies from day one, anyone who has used huggies can understand why i would like to try cloth nappies during the day. The price is horrendous when their not on sale.
My only problem is miss Ella is rather tall and skinny compared to other 7 month old.
i was wondering weather any of you have recommendations of MCN's for taller skinnier babies. I have tried real nappies and pea pods both witch didnt fit her right.
Thanks

My Isabella is the same and we use Itti bitti d'lish snap in ones. Also happy heinys pockets and a couple of other brands but i find the itti bittis the best fit around her legs :)

I can't speak from personal experience as my babies all have chubby legs, but I'd imagine that you'd want something with snug leg fittings and plenty of adjustability. Honeychild pockets are quite good as they're on the smaller side - they still fit chubby babies but their weight range is slightly smaller and they have lovely snug leg elastic.
They're not cheap if you want to buy new so you could look at TM as they are really good quality and would be fine pre-loved, or if you wanted to buy new you could easily use on a second baby or resell yourself (I bought some smalls that had only been used a few times and they looked as good as new - I used them about 6wks myself and then sold them on again so everyone wins!).
Vic xx

I would have thought for a tall bubba that ittis wouldn't work since they are low rise but honeychild or babyharmony pockets I'd say would be good.

at 7 month she might be able to go in the larges which would give a better rise.

How tall is tall? LOL
Cooper is long & skinny & Itti's are great on him the rise is good. He's only gone in the Meds 8 months at 72/72cm 7.2kg

Campbell is about the same height as Cooper, and his medium Itti fits him well too. A large may not fit properly around skinny legs?
Another option is the Dream-Eze all-in-one, I love mine! Its got a higher rise than the Itti, and is just as trim, with a narrow crotch (great for skinny babies!).

Don't think we'll be going near a large for a while yet but agree the larges will be too big on skinny legs

I have a skinny tall boy who is 5 months. i use honeychild smalls on him. I bought mine off trademe and have 9 of them with four boosters. I find them great but I use huggies for when he is going to bed as haven't braved using the honeychilds at night. We have noticed our rubbish bin is half full when it is collected instead of full. Well worth investing in MCN. Also people say they can't be bothered about washing them or that they smell. Honeychild have a fantastic washing guide on their websie www.honeychild.co.nz to stop the smells.

I felt kinda proud that our bin was half full. THe council has gone from using bags for our rubbish collection to a wheelie bin which is collected once a fortnight and I didn't want a smelly bin when he starts doing human poos, plus I am helpnig hte environment too. I love MCN too
