For anyone who was a friend on Facebook, I am so so sorry!! Hopefully by deactivating the account, it will have stopped it. I have no idea how it happened as I have a private profile!!! |

Fingers crossed you can get it sorted just make sure you change your passwords etc! Which Im sure you will know to do anyway  ------------- TTC 6 years IVF it is IVF/ICSI round one 10 eggs, 8 mature, 3 fertilised BFN IVF/ICSI #2 = 22 eggs! 20 mature, 15 fertilised, 1 fresh transfer and 2 frosties BFN 2 Frosties still in freezer thank god |

Can you let me know how to stop it when you know? The same thing is happening with my sis' page.. Ive gone in and changed her password, but didnt know what else to do... -------------

| I went to the Facebook help page and it said to run your antivirus software to check there is no spyware/malware, then change your password and if that doens't work, there's a link to contact them and they will investigate. |

Most of these are coming through dodgy apps. A few of the apps stopped working this weekend just been and the general suspicion was that FB had been hacked (again) through allowing dodgy apps.
Sucks that it happened to you. I don't think you have to add the apps either - just if someone on your friend list has it. -------------

Yeah I'm thinking it must have been one of my friends...some of them use some really random apps!!! I just re-activated it and it seems to have stopped it...hopefully it doesn't do it again overnight while I'm asleep

uummm I have never ever added an app, I ignore and delete every single one, so that can't possibly be the way they hack onto mine! I think its got something to do with your password, I think I just need to change it every few days!
Mine does it while I am asleep too

| Jess actually alerted me to something that made sense....if you get a box pop up saying that you have been disconnected/session timed out and asks you to log back in again...ignore it!!! Because that is one way of them getting your details. It would actually make sense for me, because I had that a couple of days ago... |

Something similar happened to my facebook profile last year, such a pain!!! It was some weird app like speed dating or something I wasn't even aware I had added, and I had to change my password too. Annoying!!! -------------
