I think I have joined the cloth nappy obsession. I have 17 outers for DD of the fuzzibuns apparently just before they changed to honeychild and I want more, I am worried that chunky thighs is going to get to tight for them soon lol. We paid $250 all up for them so I'm not too worried about it and can easily chuck them on trade me if she does grow out of them too quickly.

I am just wondering what nappies you girls would suggest for the chunky thigh, seriously she is on the last snap for the thigh but the waist is still quite loose lol. Am thinking maybe one with just velcro like the snazzipants aio, am happy with a mixture of pockets and aios.

We only go through about 5 a day as we use a disposable at night. She sleeps through 7-10hrs a night and aint giving that up for anything atm lol

hehe uh-oh!

JJ has chunky thighs and personally I find side or hip snap nappies best for him in terms of fit. Mind you he's not skinny around the waist For side snapping pockets, I love Ecobubs and Bib & Tucker. For front snapping nappies, Honeychild are a good option, plus the Boon Nappy we have is quite good (I think it'd work better on a baby with a slightly skinnier waist).

I haven't yet found the perfect AIO or AI2, itti bitti are great but not quite high enough in the rise, Berry Plush are a good fit but don't seem as comfy, Dream Eze are close to perfect in terms of fit but I prefer a stay dry layer and the soaker in my Dream Eze is starting to stretch funny. Snazzipants are lovely but JJ wets through them in about 2 minutes flat (ditto MonkeyDoodlez).

babies change shape all the time, so they may fit better later - i dont know if you have smalls or mediums tho. i like side snapping too and like Greenacre Design (brain fuzzy - thnk thats what they are called),   i have a bib and tucker and love it but am not fond of the front opening pocket. swaddlebees are another great side snapping pocket. but they are slimmer in the crotch and some people dont lke that.

We'vw only got the small so should have thought about it really! She's always had chunky thighs and is only 3months and already 6.5kg lol dur really shoulda thought about it. She's an island baby so I imagine will just keep growing.

I see that there are some places that do pockets that are sized but sized small-medium and medium-large not just small medium large iykwim I'm just having trouble finding them online

I have a super chunky thigh baby and He grew out of his fuzzi's quite early because of it- but in saying that one he starts walking and drops a few pounds he may fit them again- I like itti bittis as they pretty much suit any baby size. I also like EcoMoon OSFA as you can change the leg elastic to suit bubs thighs too- really handy as you can change them as bubs grows all looses weight!

ok Enlighten me if i'm wrong.
Fuzzi buns and honey child are 2 different companies. Fuzzi haven't' changed into honey child, honey child just started there own buisness of the same nappy.
I have both brands and fuzzi's are slightly bigger in the thigh than the honey child. My son has chunky thighs too. He can only just fit  medium honey child, but is fine in a medium fuzzi.

try mothers instinct or tweedle for fuzzi bunz

I'm not sure sarahbetha that was the info I got from the person I bought them from they were just a trade me buy so not too concerned.

I have decided to go with the Joeleze nappies I bought two and tried them and chunky thighs or taro legs as her father started calling her yesterday fits them fine and we are going with the mediums as she will just keep growing! They also seem to have quite abit more absorbency then the ones she has had. I'm just waiting for them to arrive now

Told DP that he is lucky that we don't have the money to keep buying or we would have alot lol. Shame we had to go gender neutral with the colours too (maybe I'll just have to buy sneakily girly ones when he's not looking lol)

baby cheeks will work. our we girl has chunky thighs but is skinny and the beauty of baby cheeks is they are osfa and you just adjust what needs to be adjusted. Maybe buy one or two of Trade me and try them out but we swear by them. Oh and she sleeps through the night no worries and is a heavy wetter over night. (10 to 12 hrs)
