Hi Can anyone recommend a convertable carseat? there are so many choices and options, and really hard to know how much to spend.

We have a safe and sound, unsure what model though sorry probably not much help  The only thing I have found with the convertable is that we used to have it sitting too straight up so DD's head would flop forward but thats more to do with the fact that we have it in the middle seat then on the passenger side. We tipped it right back to lean back further and its fine now, I just make sure its tipped far enough back when I put her in.

Also make sure that if someone sits in the backseat the next time you use the carseat that its still buckled in. DD went flying one day as our godson had been in the car and we didn't know he had undone the buckle on her seat freaked us out abit but she was happy as anything just sitting in her carseat goes to show they really are safe!

I like the convertable option as they get so heavy so quickly and you won't be tempted to carry them in their capsule the baby is enough

We've got a couple of Safe & Sound Royales and I can highly recommend them.

For the best prices, try Kiwibaby or Winkalotts.

We have the Safe n sound Meridian AHR and its great. It fits in our hatchback and my baby is very comfortable and happy in it.
We have it rearward facing and will do until he's 12kg.
You can buy special seat buckle covers to prevent anyone undoing the carseat seatbelt.

We've got the Safe and Sound Traveller convertible - got on sale from Farmers for $200, down from about $350 I think! I saw them on sale again recently, may be worth checking to see if they are still on sale?
