Did anyone go to the premiere? I didnt cuz I'm just so tired at the moment. I'm keen to hear what you guys think! I'm going tomorrow in the morning to avoid annoying teenage girls! The books were fantastic, but i'm quite worried they're not going to do New Moon justice.

I went to the premiere. It was probably better than Twilight (which isn't saying much) but no, the movie didn't do the book justice. I think when a book is so amazing there's no way a movie can do it justice. BUT the movie is definitely worth seeing just for the eye candy! Jacob is SMOKING HOT! I'm team Edward when it comes to the books, but when it comes to New Moon the movie I am team Jacob all the way (all I have to say is 8-pack... )
I'm glad I saw it, but I'm also glad I read the book first.

I saw the double feature last night and I thought New Moon was awesome! It was better than Twilight as it had much more of the story and for the most part kept to the story. It felt different, but I guess you get that with a different director (I preferred the 'feel' of Twilight).

And OMG, Jacob is so so HOT!!

Sorry but 17 is just too young for me to perve at....I keep looking at him and seeing a kid even with the bulked up muscles.

I'll probably also still wait until the DVD to watch it, I really dislike movie theatres!

I cant wait to see New Moon! I'm definately team Edward though He's pretty hot too, not a fan of Kristen Stewart though. the acting in Twilight was pretty bad in some places particularly Jessica and Mike but I thought Edward and Bella were done well.....imo

Would love Midnight Sun to be published

went to the double feature last night (sleep IS overrated, lol)

I loved it!
I loved watching Twilight on the big screen too as i'd only seen it on DVD about 5 times Saw heaps more on the big screen too, things that i'd never noticed on the DVD. Like how funny Eric was.

New Moon was great, lots of laughs and lots of eye candy!!!!! A few cheesy moments, those of you who have seen it will know the really cheesy part from Alice's vision, OMG they should have cut that out, it was terrible.
I did think they skimmed over some of the important details, like the warewolves blocking Alices visions, that would be confusing for someone who's never read the books.
The changes in the characters looks was a bit wierd, did you notice Mike looked ORANGE, lol!
The vampires eyes looked totally different than in Twilight. I kinda liked the way Twilight was almost low bugdet. But I guess as the series goes on with all the supernaturel aspects, they need the technology. Will be intersting to see how they do Breaking Dawn, I can't wait for that on the big screen, but not sure if it'll be too cheesy IYWIM??

But I'm Team Edward all the way, I refrained from buying any merchanised, at 31 one I thought I was a bit too old for that, so left it for the teenagers, lol!
And the theatre was so busy and no annoying teenagers!

I am taking Brooke next weekend - after the hipe is sorta gone so we get good seats and not so push and shove - being pregnant sitting in a theatre isn't the easiest at the best of times!

I have read the books so I hope I don;t get disappointed!

and yeah I can pretend I am a hopeless teenage girl for the duration of the movie I am sure

*hides under new moon hat and puts away new moon cup*

Although i actually really like the cap and have been trying to work out how to get the wee new moon brand thing off it and it come with popcorn and drink it which i would have got anyway

Was going to go to both but decided against it in the end so i could make sure Josh was fast asleep and not going to know i was gone so DP would have an easy night with him.

I hope she finishes Midnight Sun, it kinda explained things much better than Bella's view in Twilight.

I don't want to wait a while year for Eclipse [Do you think it'll be a year??

I LOVED it too! I actually thought it was the best interpretation from book to movie I have ever seen - I thought it was waaaaaaaaaay better than the twilight movie!! Ah I wanna see it again!

I can't trust my mummy brain but I am pretty sure that Midnight Sun was leaked and that it won't be published now but that the manuscript is on Stephanie Meyer's website - I have the page bookmarked on my PC at home so will check it out later :)

I heard somewhere else that Eclipse is being released June 2010

Alyxw she says somewhere on her site that she MAY eventually reconsider her previous statement on not completing MS... depends on how she feels later on

The Breaking Dawn movie will be very intersting.

I read all the books first time I have read so many in a year (slow reader).

Twilight wasn't as good as I thought it would be (movie wise) I am hoping New Moon will be better.

Not sure if I will see it at theaters may just wait till DVD.

I thought the ending was very anti-climactic!!! Just ended so suddenly, I am sure the book didnt end with that last sentence from Edward??!!

Roll on June 2010! I am glad its 2 weeks AFTER Jaes birthday... I'd hate for the dates to clash lol!

ahhh the books were cool but the films are way over cheesified! I hate k-stew's voice and r-patz's face. Do you guys watch true blood? Because Bill Compton would kick Edward Cullen's scrawny vampire butt.
