Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any recommendations for a midwife in the Onehunga, Auckland or surrounding suburbs? I got recommended Star who came highly recommended but she won’t be available in July 2010. I am using Paddy Hughes who is based in Onehunga. From my experience with her so far she is fabulous. God luck

This is the website for the midwifery registry on the NZ midwifery council:http://www.midwiferycouncil.org.nz/main/register/
You can search through every midwife in your are or NZ, see there qualifications and check they haven't ever been in trouble for misconduct and check they have an anual preactise cert. This is the best place you can look as all NZ midwifes are on it. |

I would go with word of mouth over any registry after all its just a list of names..
I travelled all the way to GI to see my midwife as she had delivered nearly half the OB babies lol But in all honesty, I went to her especially as she had such a good reputation from all the Mums around here. (Her name is Yvonne Daji and she is at Pregnancy Care Midwives) ------------- Mummy to Issy (3) and Elias (18 months) I did it .. 41 kgs gone! | You realy need to work out what type of midwife you want, make a list of things you want to ask at a meet and greet, arange a meet and greet with a couple of midwifes and if you like any pick the one you feel most comfortable with. |
