Does anyone in Auckland know of a place where you dont have to take out a mortage to get a santa photo taken? I was at St Lukes yesterday and the cheapest option was $14.

The Library Cafe in Onehunga have done Santa photos for the last couple of years, not sure if they will do so this year, but I would be surprised if they didn't.

Was definitely cheaper than $14 if memory serves me correctly.

Last year we took Samantha to Smith & Caugheys on Queen street and paid $10 for a Santa photo which included a walk through the enchanted forest to get to Santa's house. It was much nicer than the 'mall' photos and much better value for money I thought.
I am just waiting to see if they do it again this year because it was well worth the hassle of going to the city for it

Oooh thanks Sterryn! I've heard that one is really good so had planned to take little Button for her first Santa pic. Might be a good wife too while I'm at it and see if DH wants to make a lunch date out of it though I imagine the queue is pretty intense!

Harvey Normans did them the last two years & they were very reasonable. I think it was $10 but you got quite a few photos incl an enlargement & a small calender with a photo on it. The did them on sat & sun mornings from the beginning of dec.

We went on a Saturday last year and there was no queue   I would imagine if you went on a week day it would be really quiet. I have checked out the website and no mention of it yet for this year though
Oh, and if you park in the Atrium carpark you are nice and close and can get free parking if you buy something on the way back to the car.

Yes they are doing this again this year... starts from 2DEC and is $10.00 per child with a photo and a collectable gift... we are going to do this option as much nicer than a mall photo...

Yep I think its all the stores - as long as they have a photocentre - you could check on their website (the brochure I have just says contact your local store for more details).
You get a free 6x4, or the $5 pack has 2 6x4's 1 6x8 and you still get the free one I think too. the $10 pack has heaps of pics and a calender.

I just got Rorys santa photo at Harvey Normans.
You get a free 6x4 and if you want also a choice of a $5, $10 or $25 pack. I got the $10pack so will be getting 9 6x4s (including the free one) 2 6x8s and a 6x8 calender. The $5 pack only does a bunch of photos but cant remember the sizes or amount and the $25 pack does double the $10 pack i think with 2 12x8 (i think) calenders and a smaller calender.

It is a waay better deal then the $10 i was going to pay for one mall photo! You can also choose your fave photo from harvery normans but you only get the one photo printed out a bunch of times i think to give away as gifts.

Sorry to ramble on ill go now haha

saw santa at botany (without child!) so checked out prices....OMFG you would have to have a big whanau to justify the $49 pack!!!!!!!!!! yes bookmarks and things are a great idea...but that is half the price of a pixma to do it your self LOL!

just checked out the smith & caughey site and now i remember why i didnt go there last year. Its $10 per child! Not so great when you have three!

when i was at sylvia park the other week i liked the look of their santa and it was $10 (i think) for the disc, so that might be an option if you wanted to print out a few photos for different family members.

Ive just ordered some photo books from Harvey Norman so figure I'll kill two birds with one stone and get a photo done when I go to pick them up.

Floyd's a bit young to enjoy walking through the stuff at S & C this year anyway.

Just got back from Harvey Normans & DS wouldn't go anywhere near Santa (again). He point blank refused. He didn't have a problem taking a lolly from him though So I guess no sants photo again this year.
