Hi guys,
I'm just wondering what sort of feed & sleep schedule your babies are on (or were on) at 6 months old?
My daughter is 6 months old and I would like to get her onto some sort of routine. She has been mainly sleeping thru the nite (recently she has been teething so was waking but has just gone back to sleeping thru), and has been breastfed every 4 hours, plus solids at lunchtime - today I've added breakfast solids too..
I've been searching the internet and thinking maybe she should be on 3 feeds (breast) a day, plus a topup before bed, and 2-3 feeds of solids a day?
And she normally has 2 naps (1-2 hours) during the day.
Does this sound right?
Thanks

Daniel is having 4 hourly bottle feeds (250mls) during the day at 6am, 10am, 2pm and 6pm.

I give him breakfast (prunes or pears) not long after his morning bottle and then dinner (veges) late afternoon.

He generally sleeps 6pm - 5am with naps at 7:30am-9:30am, 12-2pm and 4-4:30pm.

This has been our routine since Corban was 6mths old works well for us. He isn't sleeping through the night but I stopped feeding him during the night when he was just over 6mths as I felt it was more habit than hunger.

7am BF
7.45am Breakfast
9am Sleep 1-2hrs
11am BF
11.45am Lunch
1pm Sleep 1- 2hrs
3pm BF
4.15ish Quick nap 1/2 - 3/4hr
5pm Dinner
6pm-7pm Bath/BF/Story/Bed
10pm BF

At 6 months Jake went down to 4 milk feeds (from 5 or 6) and up to 3 solids meals (from 2) and down to 2 naps (from 3). So it was roughly like this:

6.30/7am BF
8am breakie
9-10.30am nap
11am BF
12ish lunch
1-3pm nap
3/3.30pm BF
5pm dinner
6.45pm bottle.

Morgan is a bit more random and not quite 6 months, but she has 2 solids (lunch and dinner, will add breakie soon though) and 5-6 milk feeds (the last one is a bottle, the rest BF), and is still having 3 naps but is a bit of a cat-napper so may not go down to two for a while.

What you're doing sounds ideal, but I'd increase to 3 solids soon after the second meal is established.
