| I am getting annoyed with people I work with. Today another lady wants to have lunch in MY SET time - she made plans. When she told me she wanted to go at my time I said sorry I have an appointment (which I do) and she said that I should tell her my plans what the ?!*, I said I will try to CHANGE my appointment its not a problem and I was able too. After I kindly did this she said I should tell her what my plans are, I said - its during my LUNCHTIME causes no issues with work - isn't it my business what I do during my lunch break? - I should be the one pipped at her for taking my time and not informing me until the day - she pointed out that she made plans earlier in the week (sorry I should have glanced into my glass ball) I said so did I make my appointment on Monday. She is just a royal ..., arrgh I feel better now (almost). |

If you have a set lunch time & have appointments or things to do then don't change them, these people think they can walk over you & are not nice when you do help them out.
I would tell her now she owes you a swap & do it on a day that suits you & give her plenty of notice  its all fair in love & work.

Yeah I probably would've pretended to try and change the appointment and then said SORRY you should have asked me about swapping breaks earlier in the week. BAD LUCK! But I am a stroppy cow about stuff like that and a bit passive aggressve

| Oh and it gets better the other girl has 12-1 so they could have swapped or worked it out - but no its me. SO when I changed I said I had to be away by 10 past 1 - guess what happened the other girl ran late back from lunch!!!! So now I have been bitten (as I was nice and swapped my afternoon off with the other one a couple of weeks ago), I'm going not to do anymore swapping. I've got more appointments and I'm not changing - I'm laughing actually as I been a little secretive and they are probably thinking I'm pregnant!!! hehehe |

Goodness, that's just rude. I mean, I swapped my lunchtime today (DH needed a lift somewhere). But I'd be mortified if I thought I was even putting the girl I swapped it with out, let alone whining if she had an appointment! Some people  -------------

Of course you could always be completely facetious and tell her everything you're doing during your lunch break since it seems she needs to know. "So today I'm going to the supermarket at lunch to get bread, milk, eggs, tampons and lubricant. Then I'll probably get a sandwich for lunch. Will probably be chicken but if it's going to be anything different I'll let you know". Gosh what rude workmates - that sort of thing just leaves me speechless. I always made sure that if I needed to change lunch hours, I always gave the other ladies at least a day or two notice, and always asked (not demanded) in case they already had something on. ------------- http://lilypie.com">
