I had a tooth extracted today - one of the large double root back ones, it took 9 injections to actually numb it enough for them to get it out, and between that and all the pressure they used on my jaw I'm in agony (they showed me the tooth and it had hollowed down to the root)
I got a prescription for codeine from my OB about a month or so ago for my SPD and sciatica so took 2 of those just before the numbness wore off, then about 7.30pm had 2 codiene and 2 panadol (after speaking to a rude pharmacist)
but Im already in agony again
anything I can do now?

oooohhh you poor thing, I hate when extractions ache badly afterwards, the ones I've had in the past only ache badly for around 4-6 hours after the anaesthetic wears off, codine and panadol are about the only things that I know are safe in pregnancy.  I found that holding an ice pack wrapped in a tea towel to the side of my jaw helped sometimes.

I know that feeling, I had one of my back tooth removed when I was 18 weeks pg.
After speaking to my Dr the only thing I was allowed to take was Antibiotics and Panadol.

I hope it heals soon and the pain goes too.
