I used one during my labour - I had a longish early labour, but did use it once we got to the hospital also, up till when I hopped into the pool. I just had some gas for other pain relief.
Not entirely sure what difference it made (as I had no comparison  ), but it certainly didn't hurt. It does take at least an hour to get it ramped up and going to really get your endorphin level up.
I hired one from a chemist, and they did also have waterproof sticky sheets that would have been ok for a shower, but not for the bath/pool. Any specific questions? HTH  -------------

Hi there
I used one during the 1st 12 hours of my labour until I hopped into the bath... and I realised how effective it was when I had a contraction between taking it off and hopping into the bath ... owwww!! Will definitely use it for my next labour! (-; |

My experience was quite different, I hated it! My labour was very quick though. I was at home just getting my things together to go to the hospital, I ended up giving birth 2 hours later, but I got my partner to put it on my back and it was just the most annoying thing! But the bath at the hospital was so good, and so were pineapple frujus!
