Having seen some lovely ideas for boys names in Kellz' thread, I thought I'd start one for girls. I've done a search, but most of the names were for boys and we have a few ideas on our boy's list. We are struggling a bit with girl's names though.
I like names with *normal* spelling, but perhaps something a bit more interesting than Rebecca (no offence, lol, I just always wanted a less common name). It can't start with H or end in N.
So, throw some girl's names out there for me

Not sure if mentioned but i adore Eden as a girls name. If I had girls they would be Sarah (boring I know) & Eden.
Otherwise, my friends girls names (not all N,H names though):
Holly, Hunter, Grace, Siena, Keira, Madison (not sure on spelling), Mackensie, Natalie, Stella, Ruby.
oh the fun of choosing names

Gabriella!!! (aka Ella!)
I like the sound of old fashion names...but personally I want exotic type names for my kids - ie normal BUT not common....hence the Ella fall back position! I like to be able to shorten a name but not to something with the same initial the name starts with
I do love her middle name too ....Sydney - and one of her friends is Cydney.
Popular ones at daycare etc at moment are Maddison (all spellings) Victoria, Tamsyn, gemma, Anika (lots of spellings), Kiara (again multiple spellings), Reece, Dylan, Amber, Kendra, Caitlyn / Kaitlyn, Samantha, annie, Isabella / Isabelle, Sophie, Holly, Alice. Cant think of more at the moment.....

at Rainbow Bright!
There are heaps of nice names ending in N, but we are looking at a middle name that ends in N, and so does our last name, so it sounds a bit funny, I think.
I'm leaning away from a non-gender specific name.
Loving Addison (darn N), I love Danielle but DH won't have it cos of an awful Daniel in his past. Also love Monique and Olivia, but have them in my immediate family already.
Mmm, liking Piper, Paige, Charlotte, Emily, Laura, Ruby... and others too!
What do you think of Gemma? I think its a nice name for a wee girl, but not so sure about for a grown up? Can you see a prime minister called Gemma? Ok, kidding about the prime minister bit, but I don't want a name that isn't *serious* enough for whatever they want to do. I figure its easy to turn Rebecca into Becs or something, but harder to turn a shorter, fun name into something serious.
Keep the ideas coming, I'll read them to DH tonight

I know an adult Gemma but can understand where you're coming from. I like Addison & paige too and the others you mentioned are nice but not out of the ordinary but Char/Charlotte's an oldy but a goody.
I LOVE Piper and to be shortened as 'pip' is lovely...storing that name away for the future

Rainbow Bright?! If you went with Addison you can always call her Addy or Adie for short. Gemma / Gem, Ella-Grace, Grace, Siobhan, Holly, Hailey/Hayley, Hilary/Hils, Alba, Andrea/Andy, Antonia/Toni, Angelica, Angela, Bianca, Brittney, Brodie, Brianna/Bree, Catherine/Cath/Cathy, Catriona/Cat, Caroline/Caro, Chloe, Charlotte/Charly, Christine/Chris, Dylan, Danielle/Danni, Deborah/Deb, Denise/Denyse/Deni, Dijon/DJ, Evelyn, Eliza, Elizabeth/Beth/Libby, Fleur (like this one), Fiona/Fi, Flora, Fiadorra, Georgia, Geraldine, Isla, Ivy, Indigo, Isabelle/bella, that's all I can think of will come back with more.
Couple more I thought of, Anne, Anna, Cairo, Imogen, India, Hermoine, Jayne, Jemma, Jessica, Julie/Julia, Kelly, Keely, Lisa, Lauren, Laura, Linda, Lotus, Lydia, Margaret/Maggie, Mary-Jane, Maddison/Maddy, Madelyn, Maia, Mia, Maya, Maud, Melissa, Melanie, Molly, Olivia, Olive, Petra, Piper, Pheobe, Phillipa/Pippa, Ruth, Rachel, Ruby, Samantha, Sindy, Sydney, Sophie, Sandra, Tania, Tara, Teresa/Theresa, Thyme, Ursula, Valerie, Vivienne, Victoria, Vickie, Whilemina, Whitney, Xavier, Yasmin, Zoe.

I have a sister called Charlotte and everyone use to call her 'Charlotte the Harlot' haha or stroppy lotty.
I like Emily (Amelie, Emiley, Emilie)
I named my girls Erynn Jessica and Violette Louisa
To get Erynn's name DP just named every single girl he had ever met in his whole life haha
I also liked Isla, Ester, Amelia (That was what I was going to call Ethan had he been a girl) May, Eva, Ava ... Erh, there were more but nappy brain strikes again.

Yup , Rainbow Bright, flows nicely off the tongue
In Caitlyn's class there is an Annalia (anna -leah ) thats quite pretty ,
I also like Jessica , simple but prettyful .
I was going to call Ty Amelia if he was a girl , but now that both my kids have a Y in their name , the next one if its a girl , will be Elyse Olivia (ah lees) , because out of all the names with a Y eg Madelyn DH only like Elyse , because it reminded him of a car .

Hehe, that's so funny, we must have similar taste. Those last four are absolutely on my girls names list (and I actually really like Piper too, I just hadn't thought of it).
I'm trying to think of other names I like now - I like Joanna, Ava, Jade and Amanda... I know that there are more, but I can't think of them now!

Some of the girls names I like but DH doesn't:
Sabine, Serena, Evangeline, Xanthe, Delilah, Amara, Anouk, Violet, Ruby, Indigo (Indie for short), Dylan. I like unusual names-DH says I like hippy names
DH likes Megan (Meg for short), Diana , Kirsten, Tamara, Savannah, Milla.
We are going to have a hard time naming this princess!
So far there are three names we agree on & we're keeping them quietish for now.
I think girls are much easier to name than boys.

Hehe, yes indeed. Jasmine is one we're considering if we don't use the N-ending middle name (not sure if I said, but we are considering Kathleen as the middle name).
Heaf, I love the name Heather, but its already taken in my family. This is the trouble with having such a big family! So many names are already used.
Still there are great names aplenty on this list, so DH and I will have fun going over them tonight, I think

Even though its early for us DH and I are finding a girls name hard too
I really wanted Ashleigh but his cousin is called Ashleigh
Second name is going to be Heather after my mum so have to try pick one that goes with that.
Ideas I had were :
Ella
Lexi
Lauren
Sienna
Paige
Eden
And the only one that DH likes and I like too that also goes with Heather but I know what you're all going to say........................is Mylie although probably spell it Mylee or Myleigh.......................yes I know I know Mylie Cyrus but I love the name and if my girl looks as good as her well hey I don't care!!! lol

I was named after a character in a book and a movie neither of which I've read or seen and nobody remembers except older people.
Miley isn't her real name anyway.
Lauren Heather is pretty.
