The position of your baby by feeling your tummy?
I really can't!
I know he is head down because my midwife told me, but I couldn't tell you if that pointy thing sticking out is a hand a foot or an elbow. (although, when its bigger than the pointy thing I'm fairly certain he's mooning us!)

I'm still baffled how the midwife can tell! I mean, all I can feel is a two hard lumps with a kind of dent in the middle between them. But yesterday she said she could feel where the girls' heads are?? I do know how they are lying tho coz I have so many scans.
One thing that does puzzle me too is that I can feel what must be an arm poking out one side where Twin 1 is breech, and yet I had the exact same sensation with Maya in the exact same spot and she was head down.

I could tell limbs and that was it. I was never sure which one it was. I remember confidently telling Lewis that Jake was lying on the left, just before my midwife said he was on the right.,

Yeah I keep poking things and confidently telling hubby that's it's either Maddy's bottom or I'm giving her brain damage!!! (I can't damage her head can i?)

I can only tell where my bubs has his/her back as it goes rock hard and feels smooth, it's usually on the left (I have an anterior placenta) but if I can poke my left side and it's squidgyer (is that a word? lol) than normal then I know that bubs has shifted into the middle where it is supposed to be (although it doesn't like to stay there very long).

I've trying to make out whats what but was wondering if you can prod them too hard? The midwife always presses heaps harder then me so I guess thats ok?!

Generally mine is stubborn and moves when she is good and ready...and normally to an even more uncomfy position!

I think the only time mine dosen't move is when I yell out to hubby to come and see my belly moving! Bubs also stops when anyone bar me puts theeir hand on my tum! So is stubborn in that way. You are due aroud the same time as me? I am finding it really weird that the movement is now creeping further and further up! It feel like its quite a way above my belly button now. I can't quite believe its that big.

when i was pregnant with my first i found a website that explained how to feel for the baby and find its positions.... should try to find it again... would just be a quick google search no doubt! i can often feel my wee ones positions. my midwife has shown hubby how to aswell, but she did say be gentle when you feel around its head.
my bubs at the mo is head down and back right up, bum reasonably close to my ribs with little froggy legs and i get boots out the sides... CUTE!

now I am starting to wonder if everyhting is ok in my belly - I cant get bubs to move really, I mean I feel her moving around when SHE wants to, but I can poke and prod till the cows come home and nothing, she doesnt move in response to any of it...unless I am just not feeling it as much with my anterior placenta...?
Ah well I wont worry but I will ask my midwife the next time we meet....

Frantic, maybe she is just frozen in fear when she feels you prodding? I know whenever my hubby tries to wake mine up he'll immediately stop all movement. We reckon he's sitting there thinking "What the heck was that?!? Ok, I'm not moving till I'm sure he's gone!" Lol.
I wouldn't worry too much, as long as you're getting your 10 movements in 12 hours.

My baby seem's to be awake 24/7 at the moment bub's is very low so i can feel bub's turn head and all it is the weirdest feeling.

I can't tell what's what - I just get little prods and bigger ones. I have no idea what's a head, bum, arm or leg! Maybe it's because I'm at 27 weeks, or maybe it's the anterior placenta. I usually feel movements in my sides (often both sides at once, like she'd have to be lying sideways, stretching out her arms and legs! It's cute), or way down low and towards my back.
