hi all,
we just moved down from auckland a few weeks ago and have so far managed to put our boy (2.5) into kindy monday and wed mornings but our daughter turns 5 after christmas (28th) so isn't really anywhere and i am struggling to do stuff with both of them as i don't know what, where, how etc.
feeling pretty lonely and overwhelmed, especially with the holidays coming, so if there are any meets please can we come?! or if anybody wants to meet just because then that would also be great... and much appreciated by myself and two little ones.

don't usually feel this way, everything just feels misplaced at the moment.
thanks
louise :)

Hi there
I moved down from Tauranga about 6 years ago now so I know that making the adjustment is really hard especially when you don't know anyone.
I don't have kids yet.............one on the way yippee........and I do work full time but happy to meet up or whatever on weekends and stuff. Besides might need someone with experience to help me lol   I live Avonhead/upper riccarton area so just PM me if you want to chat or anything

hi guys, what a wonderful and overwhelming response.. thank you all :)

flake i might just jump in the car and head towards lincoln so if it's ok with you please pm me your details so i can let you know i am coming .. and you can let me know where to go!

my2angels.. your offer is very tempting, esp over the holidays as my children need the company (about as much as i do). we live in mt pleasant.. anybody else this side?
i am happy to drive wherever though, need to get to know chch at some point :)

today i am taking our 8wk old puppy to the vet (sick) and daughter to the doctor (bad rash which might be from the stress of the move i reckon)

thanks again.. i am not so good at the pm thing but will try to 'invade' where invitations have been sent!

Hey chic I'm on your side of town I'm down in Southshore (New Brighton) in fact I grew up in Mt Pleasant so know the area really well. I'm about to head away for a couple of weeks but I'd be happy for a meet up and coffee when we get back. I have 19 month old twin girls Hazel & Esme.

Will message you when we get back from our chaotic road trip lol. In the mean time you should check out the Mums meet up thread. Theres a regular CHCH meetup with all OB ladies that meet once every two weeks I have been to a few and they are all really welcoming and fun ladies and you'll get to know CHCH really well as they are spread all over the show lol. They usually rotate the meet ups at each others houses. The kids are all different ages :)

It's so full on moving to a new city. We did a year in Brisbane before we had the girls and I found it tough going can't imagine how hard it must be with kids in the mix as well!

Hey, there is a meeting tomorrow in papanui/bishopdale (I"m not sure which of those areas her house is in). We are always happy for anyone to come, we normally meet once a fortnight on a wednesday morning, but I'm also happy to meet at other times. We aren't going away for xmas so would be keen for more meet ups to keep the littlies happy whilst all the other activities have closed down for the holidays.

I think KA might have put up a message about tomorrow in the mum's meet up, she normally does
