Hi guys
i need some HELP!!
came off the BCP (norimin) at the end of July. only had 3 cycles since then. about 2 months or so after i stopped taking them i started getting horrible pimples! all over my shoulders and top of my back and some on my chest. im getting sooo self conscious about it and having to watch what i wear so none of them show around the neckline or sleeves.
so my biggest problem (apart from it being summer and wanting to go swimming!) is the fact that im getting married at the start of march!!! and i have a strapless dress!!
so HELP PLEASE!!!
if anyone knows a good solution of what i can do to clear them up in time PLEASE let me know! im getting so frustrated with them!!
i have been using a scrub every 2 days but that doesnt really seem to be helping much. should i be using clearasil or something similar or is there something natural i can use? and something that will work within 2 months!!!
any advice would be much appreciated
TIA!

I found that too. My skin is shocking since going off the pill 3 years ago.
I haven't found a magic cure - if you do find one please fill me in! lol
But I do find that new clearasil 4 hr stuff works ok. It does help but I don't think its quite as good as the ad says

I had the same problem. I tried EVERYTHING and I swear this is true - I stopped using all face cleansers, moisturisers, absolutely anything on my face whatsoever, and my skin cleared up.
And also, now this may sound strange, but it totally worked for me too. Someone told me that if you get one of those crystal stick deodorant things (all natural, stone deodorant thing, from the healthshop), and apply that to any spots you get it will clear them right up. And it did!
I noticed a positive difference after about 3 days.
Also, make sure you eat really well - lots and lots of fruit, veges and water.

Same thing happened to me Heaf, I ended up going to my GP and she suggested going back on the pill for 2 months before my wedding which I did and had perfect skin for my wedding day! Now I am off the pill and UTD my skin is shocking and I can't put anything on it But thanks for the heads up about the crystal stick thingy Hila as I have one in the bathroom so will be trying that!

I have had trouble with my skin and I have found the best cleanser to be the neutrogena oil free acne wash (orange bottle) and I have tried just about all the cleansers you can get. I tried Proactiv but it didn't work for me, it just burned my skin because it's really strong- so if you think your skin can handle it try it but if not I wouldn't, especially so close to your wedding.
Also I know the GP can sometimes give you pills that will help with skin, not roaccutane but something milder so might be worth having a chat with them

I had trouble with my skin about 5 years ago whilst I was still on the pill. I used Clearasil as my older sister used it for about 10 years and had the clearest skin ever - it had the reverse effect on me! I broke out even worse - mainly on my forehead - all red & shiny etc. I stopped using it and used a nivea face wash and my skin started to calm down.
I agree with lisa - I wouldn't try anything too drastic too close to your wedding without advice - perhaps pop to your GP to see what they can recommend?
Good luck! And I am sure that you will look fabulous on your wedding day no matter what
