Can anyone tell me how to get ride of the smell of cat spray?
Our neighbours have a gizillion cats and a cat has gone into our garage and sprayed all over my spare carseat. The cover doesn't come off.  to the cat.
While I'm at it has anyone else had to report a neighbour for a pet situation. I mean there cats are out of control. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

The best thing you can buy is urine off, do a search there a few places that sell it. One is catdoor something or other, pet hub and a guy on trademe sells it as well. Works on all urine and has enzymes that break the urine crystals down so actually gets rid of it. We had a diabetic cat who had a few accidents and this is what we used to clean up. Is safe to use around pets and children.
As for the cats themselves if you think they are neglected or living in conditions that are not appropriate you can report them to the spca, failing that you could try your local council, they may be able to tell them to limit the number they are allowed. Of course I am assuming you have either already spoken to the owners or that the owners are unapproachable (some people you just don't want to go and talk to!) -------------

I've spent years trying to train my dog to like cats but I should just give up and rent him out to clear areas of unwanted cats. Want a loan? Just joking.
Okay, now a little more seriously. Yes you could report them to the council or SPCA but I suspect very little will happen and they're probably all undesexed so will breed more anyway. You could try hosing them every time they come over your fence. Actually the SPCA might have some tips for you on how to discourage them as well. 1 Tablespoon white vinegar and half a teaspoon fabric softener to 2 litres of cold water. Sponge affected area.
Local vet clinic gave me that recipe when my elderly cat kept urinating on our carpet. Worked a treat! ------------- |
