I had a very dark linea nigra line when I was preg with Isla, went from public bone, right up through belly button to mid bump. It took months to fade away after I had her too.
This time I dont have one at all, and I dont know the sex of this baby. Has anyone had a linea nigra line with one sex, and not with the opposite sex?! TIA! |

If it's any help I didn't have a linea nigra in either pg and I have 2 boys ------------- Lindsey

I had a really faint one with dd, but nothing with this little guy :-)
Have you tried the ring test and the other old wives tales ? |

I've had one for a few weeks - but it's only really visible in certain light and even then it's quite faint! According to my 20wk scan I'm having a boy and he's my first, so I don't know if that helps you very much  ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I got one quite early with my son. I thought i wasn't going to get one with my daughter but it showed up really late into my pregnancy and got darker. -------------

I had a faint line up to my belly button with DD. It didn't really fade after she was born and was still there when I fell pregnant again. This time another girl, and the line got a bit darker and now goes right up to my boobs! My sister though has one of each and never got a line with either. -------------

I had that with Caden towards the very end of the pregnancy, and with Isabella the line was still there from Caden, it never got darker or bigger either. ------------- |

I had a quite obvious one with both boys, that went below and above my belly button. The two lines didn't line up which really wound me up.
Minik8, when I got pregnant with Kyle my line from Spencer was still there and just got darker and then after Kyle is has only just disappeared now. So it will go in the end -------------

I had 2 girls and with the first I had a really dark line and the second time nothing. Infact I had very few similarities with my pregnancies, I wouldn't believe the scanner when he told me is was a girl. -------------

I'm preg with my first - a girl - and I don't have one. I thought I would get one cause I thought it had something to do with skin pigmentation as well and I'm a real whitey! but nope, nothing
I remember my Mum telling me that she only got one when she was preg with my little bro and he was 11lb12 (*GASP*) so maybe that had something to do with it? There are 5 more of us and she didn't get one with any of us. I think it must just be luck of the draw! -------------
