I usually buy a baby name book or something similar with a wee message in the front or else a baby details book that she can fill out while pregnant.

my step-sister is expecting at the end of jan and like your friend, has a ton of stuff. as she owns her own house, I'm giving her a baby tree that she can plant at the same time as her wee girl,. you can order them in neat little wooden boxes which can later act as a keepsake box too.

Get something for her as I found mum never gets a pamper when needed, so I would go for crams, lotion, oils good for skin when preggy.

A friend of mine gave me something called 'everything balm'. I havent used it yet but its meant to be a lifesaver for all sorts of things - sore boobs from breastfeeding, stretch marks, nappy rash etc and it smells really nice too
