Just wanting to know of any experiences with taking a pram on an air nz flight without some kind of cover. I have a dash and am not keen on spending $100 on a phil and teds cover for just one trip away. I wouldn't normally take the pram with me but need it for this trip.
Or, does anyone have any ideas of how I could protect it. Also, does anyone know if they would prefer it with the wheels off or on? Why/why not? |

is it a domestic flight or international? I'd be more inclined to use an old sheet and tie/tape it on instead of spending $100 on a cover! I'd also take the wheels off in case they get damaged.

If you are travelling Air NZ they bag it for you as it has to go thru the oversized bit. -------------

You might have to fight them to get a plastic bag, as some of the check-in staff will swear black and blue that they don't have them but they do. And I had to take the wheels off my P and T to fit it in the bag, but the wheels fit in the bag with it so it was all good. -------------  Maya Grace (28/02/03)

I was just coming back on to say that the bag is a good investment if you are going to do lots of travelling but see that gypsnita wouldn't agree
We have done Bali, Aussie and Auckland with ours and also lent it to friends who have done USA, Raro and Aussie with it and have had no problems with the bag being damaged. -------------

They do have a very limited supply of the plastic bags so thats why you might encounter difficulty, they are not standard to be provided, but they are pretty good with strollers, I sent mine and had no problems at all, it wasnt bagged up and had all its wheels on and was fine. ------------- T (6) A (2) Our angel baby Sep 2011 http://lilypie.com">
