Do you ladies keep teething necklaces on your children when they are in the bath/swimming? We have never taken our sons necklace off, but over christmas we noticed a couple of friends did every time their children got wet.
I have checked the information we got with the necklace and it doesn't mention anything about this.
Just wondering what you do and why?

we do... and the literature says to, but prob only because its a resin (hardened) and will wear away/dissolve a lot quicker I imagine if wet... esp hot water. I dont suppose its a safety thing.
And at night- we take it off- could put it round the ankle, but Locks pulls a bit on his so Id be worried he would tighten it or something in the night.

We only take it off if he is going into a chlorinated pool. It stays on for bath time & at night (he has worn it pretty much 24 hours a day since he was 6 months)

We take ours off for baths and swimming, just because I dont want it sitting in the crease in his neck all wet.
Otherwise he's in it all the time (even night sleeps).

Ours comes off for bath time is the info that came with it said that soap scum etc can build up and make it less helpful.

The reason you are supposed to take them off in water etc is because it can cause the silk to rot.
Heaps of people leave them on with no probs however.

Thanks for all your replies. So far ours hasn't come off for anything. May have to rethink that though as I want it to work as well as it can.

We remove ours for swims, showers and baths.
The beads are strung on silk and that is what was recommended.. was quite expensive so would hate to ruin it
