Does anyone have any cool ideas for what I could do for his first birthday? And I want to get him something 'special' but am a bit stuck for ideas?

Thanks!!

Some people have a party for the adults as such on the kiddies first birthday as the kid wont really know anything as such. Kind of a surviving the first year party as such.

Or do things that kiddy will enjoy. Perhaps have a bubbles party and get a bubble machine with party packs for kids his own age with yummy stuff that either the parents can eat or even them.

I definately learned from my mistakes with McKayla and will keep it a bit more low key or if we do go a bit big keep it short. Definately keep it under an hour and a half. It really tires them out and then you have to still say bye to everyone that come and all they want to do it sleep.

But best of all just have fun.

My fav 1yr old toys where,

activity table
bead frame
sand/water table
puzzles
ride on
pull/ push toys

We did BBQ & for DS1 I did Pooh Bear theme, but that was more for me, ha ha, we had mainly family for that one & not many kids.

If it is more of a kids party (littlies) then I would go with more snacks & play things, love the bubble idea , but keep it simple or you will have heaps of grumpy kids.

Have fun & congrats on make to the 1yr mark

Ive been to a 1st bday party where they hired out the kiddies pool at the local swimming pool and that was heaps of fun for the kids and adults.

Hi, keeping it short is a quick tip! For toys my bubs loved her ride on lion, cd player and a little elmo phone.
