I was hoping some of you may have ideas for what to put in loot bags for a 1st b'day party, children at the party range from 1yo to 7yo.

| I wouldnt bother with them but if you really want to....balloons work well at ALL ages....bubbles, lollipop (the little ones can give theirs to the big kids etc). Depends how much you want to include. you could also do ones for little ones and ones for big ones (with heaps more sugar) |

Yeah I wouldnt bother with loot bags especially if they are mostly toddlers. We went to a 1st birthday not so long ago, my friend made bags for different ages. DS was 7 months then, in his he got a balloon, a little clappy thing, tin of puree and i think some bubbles. Was really neat. -------------

yeah im not that keen on loot bags either, mainly because they tend to be filled with crap that i just throw out (but thats just me).
I remember going home from a party with a piece of cake and sometimes an iceblock. I agree with the others though about putting balloons in there, and bubble mixture always goes down well. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

| cake boxes are FABULOUS! we don't do loot bags, but did the cake boxes and had "prizes" for the games we played. there is always a ton of cake leftover so I make sure everyone takes home a big bit so we don't have to throw any out. |

Bubbles are good! You could go to the $2 shop and get heaps of neat little things, and do the bags up depending on age. I know at 18 months caden would love digging round in a bag of goodies. ------------- |

I did loot bags for C's 1st birthday as there were quite a few older kids coming. Plus I just wanted to 
Callum had a monkey cake so I found some monkey stickers and put a few in each bag, a box of raisins, pack of baby rice crackers and a Freddo. Then depending on the age they got a bouncy ball or a slightly bigger ball for the younger kids. I had some lollies, balloons, cup cake.
Another idea is making some mixed CDs with kids songs. If you have a cd burner this could be good. You can easily pick up a 10 pack cds for under $10 now. -------------
