Over the last couple of weeks Ava has started fighting bedtime in a major way. She was always fine to go to sleep and would drop off within a couple of minutes.
Now she screams and cries and won't settle unless one of us goes and sits with her until she falls asleep. She has cuddlies in bed and a good night time routine.
Is this another one of those phases and how do we get her to settle on her own. She gets so worked up that leaving her to cry is not an option (and I don't want to) but neither DH or I want to have to sit with her every night.
Daytime sleeps are great

I have found that Amy has been doing this recently - and have decided it is because she getting quite a bit of sleep during the day. So I have dropped her late afternoon sleep (3rd) and she is back to falling asleep while drinking bottle becuase she is so tired...
You dont say what she is sleeping during the day, but Amy is now doing a morning sleep around 9am and then sometime around 1ish - then bed at 7pm.

She is on 2 sleeps but I am thinking her last sleep is too late.
It's been 2 hours now and everyone is exhausted

Campbell's been doing this lately too! He's just been too energetic at his normal bedtime to go to sleep! Tonight he went to sleep about 7:30pm though, and I'm wondering if its because his last day nap was earlier than it has been lately. He's a little terror for day naps, lately they've been anywhere from 30 mins to about an hour long, so sometimes will need a third nap around 4pm. Maybe that's been contributing to a late bedtime?
