Maddi has just started saying her own name, every time she looks in the mirror, looks at photos or is really just talking about herself.
The funny thing is she calls herself "Ma'sin" (Madison) I know it is her name but most of the time we call her Maddi..??!? Go figure. What does your child call them selves? -------------

Issy calls herself Isabelle .. but pronouced more like IsaBELL.

| Tom calls himself Tom...or Me. If you ask him his name he will say Thomas Jack L........ He's grasped the me, you thing but I still chuckle when he announces "I Awake!!" when he wakes up. I have tried to tell him its "I'm awake" but then he says "I mam awake" too cute! |

Jake calls himself dakob or sometimes dake - we usually call him Jake, but daycare quite often say Jakob and we do refer to him as Jakob -- he also says used his surname now. For ages everything was "my" as in "my do it" "my turn" "my this one" "my get it" etc ... but now he is getting "I" and "me". ------------- DS (5yrs) and DD (3yrs) |

Hehehe that's cute Nikki. When chosing a name we never factored in the fact that many toddlers find the "j" sound difficult to master ... so our little guy called himself "Dimmy" for a while |

Chloe calls herself "Toey", so cute. And when Ollie tries to steal a toy or a cracker or something off her she says "No! That's Toey's ....(insert object here)......!" Or "It's Toey's turn".

Hannah calls herself "Hannah" or "Hannie" when looking at photos or in the mirror. She hasn't grasped first person yet. When she's being naughty (and knows it) she'll say "Han-MAY!" (Hannah May) and laugh. -------------

errrm we are still working on that one too! I point to myself and say What is my name? and he says MeeMeee (mummy) and I point to him and ask What is your name? he does make a two syllable response but it doesnt make any sense yet!!!! -------------

Sam calls himself Sam, but that's a pretty easy one I guess. He always refers to himself in the third person.

Up until before Xmas the girls called each other 'Ada' 
Then Eimear figured out Aoifes name. However Aoife decided that Eimear should be called 'Aoife' too. 
Now they call each other by their names. Eimears name gets pronounced more like 'eee-maaa' |

Caprece calls herself Peecey, Jack calls her Freecey and I call her Precey mainly. She calls Jack Jackee and since she has started doing that he has started referring to himself and Jackee too when before he hated it if I ever called him that. |

Kingston can't say Kingston, so he calls himself "Chicken". It's very cute. Unfortunately now we also call him Chicken, & when DH was picking him up at preschool on thurs one of the teachers called him Chicken. Charlotte is of an age to say her own name well.
She went through a phase of calling Sophia 'Soph' which was kind of weird since we never call her Soph. She told the lady at the post office that her sister was at home sleeping and her name was Sophia Vera K... which was probably a little more information than was necessary! -------------

Carys refers to herself as Carys, me or I UNTIL ... someone asks what her name is and then she'll say - Ruby G.. (her surname) everytime!!!
