Hi there,

I just have a computer question for any of you who can help me. My whole screen looks like it has been zoomed in and now I can't view a whole webpage without scrolling up or down. My desktop icons are huge, basically everything has gotten bigger??? Not sure if my kids have changed something or what. It is probably really basic but I just can't seem to work out how to get it back to normal. Any ideas??

Thanks

Check your display settings in your control panel. Sorry can't give better directions I am on a Mac and presume you are on Windows.

Are you on Vista?

If so right click, Graphics Properties.

Display settings, screen resolution, play with that bit!

That's how it is on my computer anyway It's the screen resolution bit that needs fiddling with

Try holding the 'control' key and then winding the middle scrolly button of you mouse forward or back, This alters the font size.

It sounds like your resolution has been changed
What operating system are you using?

If it isn't the resolution thats the problem let us know as there are some other settings that might have been changed such as the 'ease of access' ones

Ah yes Susiec I used to always do that and wonder how I'd done it!

I'm also a mac user so can't help if you've windows! If not I can help!

ETA: I found on my windows though that sometimes if I played games like sims, or ones you buy from the store (not solitaire etc) that it changed my computer screen resolution.

Thats because some games were made for earlier operating systems and therefore run in compatibility mode
