Subject: Blood after S&S

My me gave me another stretch and sweep this morning, for the 4th time.  Usually afterwards I'll have discharge with either brown or red blood streaked through it.

But just now after going to the toilet and wiping, there is red blood, not with the discharge.  I don't want to call mw to hear her say it's normal.  Anyone else had a S&S to have red blood come away and it IS normal?

I'm tired of crying wolf the past week with lots of contractions and watery discharge that isn't waters leaking, and contractions not coming to anything!  So really don't want to bother MW again about this, but if you ALL say it's NOT normal then I will.

I dunno! Is it only when you wipe? It's not like it's the middle of the night or anything, I'd just ring the midwife and ask (preface it with an apology if you have to!)

hun, that last week or two is hell! Really looking forward to hearing baby news from you (and seeing who she looks like!).

i think i had blood with one of mine...   but you should ring her anyway, its what she gets paid for. and if she is going to be doing that many sweeps then she should expect the calls!

I second the calling your MW advice
Even if it's just to put your mind at ease!

As an aside, I had a dream last night that your girl came out with big blue eyes and LOTS of blonde hair. Incidentally you called her "Jetta"

LOL charly!!  Funny!  I'm fully expecting a little darkie this time (though was with Jett too, he couldn't get more fairer).  I'm picturing a mini Riki.

Anyhow, I text MW and she phoned me and said to keep an eye on it.  At the moment it's like end of a period blood,  There when you wipe and the size of a couple of tablespoon sploches on my pad.  She said if it gets heavier then to call her again.  She asked if it was with the discharge, but it's not so that's why I wanted to check it out.

Bahahaha! I love it.

I don't have much advice, I had 3 s&s and had a lot of gunk coming out but I don't remember actual blood.

I hope she's not too far away Italiah

Oh I hope so too, Kylie.  But today I've had a different mind-set - to get on with my week and plan things and NOT just concentrate on when will I go into labour!

Since the S&S I've been very crampy with lots of contractions.  I, however am trying to ignore them!  Once they get sore enough for me to really say OW about then I'll take notice.  MW has called to check on me and said she'll call again later this evening.  She said things were different this morning and thinks something will happen very soon!  Just what i didn't want to hear her say cos all it's gonna do is get my hopes up!

when i went to get checked when waters were leaking midwife did a S&S too and when i got home there was blood and after going to the toilet there was a clot in the bowl. BUT dunno if its different because of waters leaking or not.

I was getting no other symtoms though (no contractions etc..)

That probably was no help at all was it?!! LOL

Hope for your sake things get a move on sooner rather than later - although i agree concentrate on the week ahead and if baby comes BONUS
