PureLan or Lansinoh are good (they're pretty much the same thing). I used Lansinoh, it was great...just from the supermarket.

I can't use lanolin based cream either (runs in the family), I used Palmer's nipple cream and it was lovely.

I used Lanisnoh and Bepanthen Cream. The Lanisnoh was great for taking that horrible sore/sensitive feeling away.

I second Lansinoh and I also found a breast shield really helpful as I got a cracked nipple on the left hand side. Basically is like a half circle that sits over your nipple so that the lansinoh doesn't rub off onto your clothes and also allows air to get to the nipple and avoids getting that nasty feeling of having your breast pad/bra/shirt stick to your nipple and have to peel it off *yeowch*

I loved Purelan,.... a thick layer after every feed.

I had a little routine... After every feed both nipples had a little milk rubbed over them then air dried then slavered in purelan. (except at night, just the purelan then LOL).

My life saver

I didnt last long BFing but I found the BEST thing was lansinoh (sp?) or BM and then gladwrap to stop them sticking to my clothes....   Sounds wierd but man did it help.
MW reccomended that. Just cut a couple of 5cm squares.

Yeah Lucas paw paw,  Weleda and I used one from the Naturopharm range Nipplemed? and it was really nice. Just read the packaging of them though as some you have to wipe residue off before feeding and some you don't. You might find its a case of trying a couple to see what works for you

purelan is great for preventing cracked nipples, but if you've already got them I recommend Hypercal gel to heal them. That stuff is amazing - works superfast! I also used in on my babies bottoms for nappy rash,
