I remember being asked last time by my MW if I had a cd to play while we were in there, I didin't so we listenign the radio the entire time. SO I'm thinking about taking a cd for this time. But i'm not suure what to take. I don't want to be put off of that music or song. I want it to be relaxing but not dripping water or birds noises... IYKWIM.
Any idea's.

I made a cd with stuff like Fat Freddys, The Black Seeds... that sort of thing, mainly coz it puts me in a good mood, is kinda relaxing but not dripping water or birds chirping lol... Hope that helps?!
MW never asked bout a CD for me , But I'll be taking my ipod and it's speakers so that'll have to do if she doesn't ask.

I just made a cd of all my fav songs, but also ended up grabbing my cds out of the car and telling DP to put on what ever cd I felt like listening too. I don't remember if it relaxed me at all, but when I hear the songs now they bring back memories of DS coming into the world.

lol Kelly
I was in the process of updating my ipod and when I went into labour I tried to put more music on it but it wasnt working. Probably cos I wasnt concentrating on the ipod
Anyways, I suggest anything that makes you relax and puts you at ease. So if whale music doesnt do it for you now it definitely wont when your in labour.

I had loads .. but mostly listened to Brooke Fraser, it always relaxes me and makes me think of good times (I listened to it on my way to see SD in the UK when he lived there .. so nearly 24 hours of Brooke Fraser, so she always reminds me of him).

Oh, I love Brooke Fraser.
We had our laptop in delivery with us and my sister was given the job of manning iTunes..... she played whatever I asked which at the time was Bob Marley, Carole King, Sam Cooke. I distinctly remember her putting on Black Sabbath and me saying "NOT THAT".....

Never had time for music, but make sure you've got some DVD's you like in case you can't sleep after your labour starts & it's in the middle of the night.
I watched the brady bunch movie...nuff said!

I didn't even have time to think about music with Ben, he was born about 20mins after we got to hospital.
With Jack we turned the radio on to try and drown out the yelling from the other delivery suite. I don't even really remember hearing it as I was too busy! I vaguely remember a Carpenters song playing, "On top of the world" I think, and a song from Dirty Dancing but I can't remember which one.
Remember that some hospitals don't have CD players in all of the delivery suites so you may have to take your own

I think we had some music on, but I have no idea what it was at the time - all I know was that I had Britney Spears 'Womanizer' stuck in my head and the chorus was on repeat the entire time I was in labour! lol hopefully this time around I'll be able to choose what song my brain gets stuck on
