I have two little kids, one who is nearly 2 and a new born. I am currently looking to upgrade my pram to accommodate both kids as my current one doesnt allow for a toddler seat.

Would you go for a full on push chair with a toddler seat or a double stroller. I have seen a stroller on trademe where the seats go right back so the newborn can sleep flat.

What do you use?
What do you recommend?

We go out and about a far bit....no so much off road, but we do like to walk places..

TIA

I had a Phil & Ted when DS3 was born, DS2 was under 2 & I walked everywhere to school & back shops, was out all the time, so much easier than putting kids in & out of the car & got really fit. I liked the P&T because it was not side to side as some of the footpaths were narrow.

I bought a Mountain Buggy when DS2 was nearly 4 as the P&T was getting harder to push as the kids were getting heaver but he only sat in it once, but I do think they are better when the kids get bigger as both want to see where they are going, only they are wider.

I really loved my Valco pram with toddler seat attachment. It's sold now, but http://www.kidsgear.co.nz/Classifieds/valco-trimode-special-edition-with-toddler-seat/ - here is a couple of pics and info..

just to add to my earlier post, check weight capacity also, MB have a higher one & can see a child in them longer.

The new P&T ones can fold with the 2nd seat attached which is handy.

I made a list of all the well know brands & googled them & read reviews & was surprised to read 1 brand I was interested in getting had several reviews of wheels coming off while in use, so pays to do your homework.

Oh & the MB I bought took up the whole boot & I had to take the wheels off & it was heavy to lift in, but a beautiful pram to push

Slightly different, because our two are the same age, but we have a MB Urban double and I it so much!! We used to have a Childcare twin stroller and it was so hard to push etc. I've found that even though the MB is huge when folded up and takes up the majority of our boot area, it's lighter for me to put into the boot than the Childcare (and I have a 4WD), sooooooo much easier and nicer to push, and all in all....I just it!!!

Oh, and even though it is wide, I haven't had any trouble getting it in anywhere or through any doors (which I was really worried about!)!!

We have a 11 week old and a nearly 3 year old and recently upgraded to the P&T double.
I this pram - it is so great. Both kids are really comfy in it and it is really easy to manouvre and get in the car etc. I couldn't afford one of the really expensive ones so just ended up with the standard P&T Classic pram but don't feel at all disappointed with it.
