I just got back from my doctors appt. She gave me the bounty pack, has given me a bloods form for serial hcg testing twice a week until 8wks (but i'll probably stop at 6wks), she has also given me the referral form for a scan at 6wks and told me to book in advance, as well as giving me a prescription for FA- 5.0mg per day. The recommended is 0.8mg per day but for those that have had m/c's or abnormalities in previous births it is recommended that you take this higher dose. She also suggested that I keep taking my pregnacare multivitamin (Thompsons) as well, and has ordered a ferritin and complete bloodwork count too. My GP wasn't that keen on giving me this P. She said they get audited for all the tests they request etc to ensure that they're not wasting resources. She understands how anxious I am/get though so met me halfway with my requests lol. ------------- http://lilypie.com"> http://lilypie.com">

OK well ill come post in here now....
Also just got back from docs and she gave me a serial HCG test for this week but thats it, so one today and one friday. She turned down my request for an early scan which im quite bummed about but im hoping i can just call up and pay for an early scan or do they def need a referral? My Dr is hopeless too, so far i've paid for 2 extra HCG tests because she wasn't going to give me any but i managed to talk her into doing 2 for me. She wouldn't give me a referral for a scan so i just booked one anyway and then i rang a MW and she gave me a referral. I think you can have a scan without a referral but it will cost a BOMB! I thought I was due the 7/10 but argh who knows. What I was thinking about when I was walking was how I didnt chart the first half of the month and just relaxed and enoyed my time with DH and bam it paid off. Sheree- I have absolutely nothing left but Im happy that I get to start afresh as most of the stuff I had with my older kids was second hand and I had limited choices on what I could get them. Hehe look at all you early testers, go the charting gals! LA your gp sounds awesome! Hold onto that one! Oh and I too was a hungry tired one... Had a nap every day from about 3w to 7w I think it was :) And yeah unrefered scans are rather expensive, about 120$ here I think. Sorry will stop lurking now! Although this is prob one of my favored parts, seeing everyone get their bfps and be all excited and happy before the ms kicks in! -------------

AF was only 2 days over due so I thought nothing of it until my DH was cooking bacon last night and I couldn't stand the smell which is highly unusual. I normally love the smell of bacon cooking ha ha. My stomach also looks heaps rounder already! I had been trying to lose weight but my stomach just wouldn't seem to flatten out. Now I know why he he. Any body else have the same problem with thier stomach? |

My sister in law has been ttc for a few months now. I'm not sure if I should wait to tell her I am pregnant or not. At the rate my belly is growing she might guess so I'm not sure if a guess is better or to be up front. She came off the pill a few months ago. Did anyone have trouble conceiving after coming off the pill???? |

LostAmber, yeah I have had a m/c. Between the two boys. That baby was a honeymoon baby but oh well that's life I guess. I was starting to get a bit depressed about my "fat" stomach but ditto having an excuse for it he he. Good luck to all in the months ahead. Is anybody here a little worried about going through a m/c? or a m/c again? I am a little bit. There's always that nagging worry in the back of my mind. Sorry for being so negative. My mind is so jumbled upat the mo lol. Pregnancy brain lol. |

I am intermittently feeling nauseas but I think that has more to do with the heat. I've also had a headache for a couple of hours, but again i'm putting that down to the heat. I've been really irritable too. I wanted a nap this afternoon but had things to do and now just want to crash but have to get dogs fed and our dinner going. With the way i've been eating for the past couple of days i'm going to be baby + extras for sure lol. Must stop it! That's what I mean though P, with your first you don't show until 'later', and then after that you tend to show much sooner.

Was just talking to my mum again, and I asked her if she'd told dad I was pregnant. She said no because i'm not really pregnant yet! As far as she is concerned there is no pregnancy until a heart beat is heard/discovered. Atleast everyone here is still excited for and with me! What a cow.

Okay thanks Rj, that is what I had. I loathe to take anything at the best of time, so will only do so if absolutely necessary now. It has had an immediate effect on my headache though, which is good, I think it was close to migraine material. I agree, yep still lurking, bit boring at work tonight! Stay positive, its your baby, right now. You have already started day dreaming about what its going to be with its grown up, you have given them lives so they are your babies, for now and always. Celebrate each day, and enjoy your pregnancies, you only get each pregnancy once :) you need people who are going to support you not discount you or bubs so surround yourselves with these people.
T41st, wow your so lucky to have gotten a bfp that early! At 16dpo my hcg was 80, so about 40 at 12dpo, and about 20 at 10dpo, so looking good hun! Oh and such a cute outfit! Where did you get it from? Sorry can't remember anything else, but sending you all the stickiest dust ever :) -------------

I know, its honestly flying by, so although those first few weeks feel like they drag, make the most of it, make the most of having your own little secrets, of not having a bump, of being able to sleep through the night, cos you will wake up one day and be half way there! :) I know most of the time easier said than done, but trust me its better than moaning and wishing it would hurry up and then trying to rewind! :)
I know, its nuts huh! I'm getting so close my baby shower is being planned and handed din my mat leave forms!! -------------

Morning ladies and wee beans,
well I have a talk to DH yesterday about going to the Dr to get HCG done and he said to me that is there really any point in doing that because if it is the same as last time they cant do anything anyway and we might as well ride with it. He does want an early scan thou so I think I just go through a midwife for that. I thought about what he said and I would be really stressed between each test and I dont think that would be good for any of us bean included. I might as well enjoy the here and now and not stress myself out with what could be. Plus I know this baby is a sticky one yip yip
I've been trying to think off a way to tell my parents (when Ive had my scan) that they are going to be grandparents again. they live in Oz and I was thinking I might get a baby t-shirt that says something on it and post it to them. Anyone got any ideas? ------------- http://alterna-tickers.com">

Also just came back from a gym class and i totally freaked out...even though the instructor was awesome she made sure i was doing the low-impact stuff but i just didnt enjoy it, the entire i was thinking oh god please dont fall out lil bean!!!...how silly of me eh?
Anyways she is going walk me through same pregnancy safe exercises on sat which will def help ease my anxiety ...well at least i hope it will ------------- Ds1 - 20 months old Ds2 - 4 months old |

Good on you thou, exercise with help with the labour. I walked a lot with both my pregnancies and my labours were only 3hrs and 31/2hrs. Im going to make sure I try to remain relatively fit this time -luckly I have a moderately active job and I can still go to gym and go low impact stuff. Was thinking about doing so pregnancy yoga - what do you think?
This morning I felt great got up and jump inti action and now Im feeling slightly nauseated and really hot!!. If I hadnt just had a shower I'd be in the friggin pool. Oh and I think my cup size might have gone up to a C. ------------- http://alterna-tickers.com">

i def want to do pregnancy yoga, my SIL did that from about 28 weeks and she said it really helped her.....
im feeling slightly nauseous too...i just took off the plaster from yesterdays BT and saw the nurse has left me a huge bruise, nearly threw up just looking at it!!!  i think ill go to another labtest place for fridays BT

Good for you for going to the gym, maybe I will risk it myself. I had my second hcg test done today (at exactly 48hrs, how anal am I lol). If all things are good (wont get results until tomorrow probably) then i'll play hockey friday night and get back into the gym on monday. Ha, how many weeks have I been saying that for now! I had my job interview this morning too, I don't feel it went that well to be honest. And if anything I came out more excited about returning to uni and doing my thesis.
