Hi Ladies
I'm being really cheeky to ask if anyone has the black pleat dress from Egg in a size 4? (or even a 3 or 5!)

I would really like to borrow one, as it is the design which has been chosen for a bridesmaid dress I have to wear, and I was hoping to avoid the $200.
If anyone has one which they want to sell, or would be willing for me to borrow to use for one night for a wedding (6th March), please let me know.
I will of course replace the dress if anything happens to it, and we can arrange a suitable 'hirage' price too.

Have you tried the dress on? That was the dress I used for my wedding dress (at 37weeks) and I thought I would be able to wear it not pregnant and without a big bump it didnt look so good. I imagine you wont have a big bump. What are the other bridesmaids wearing?

Thanks for your replies!

Yeah I have tried it on. I tried on size 4 which was good, but I think I could fit a size 3 or 5 ok. The other bridesmaid is wearing the same dress, she is a about 5 months pregnant.
Would be a nice wedding dress when you are that pregnant! Bet you looked gorgeous.

Thanks for looking Shezzey, I saw that dress on trademe, unfortunately it is a size 1 and that is just way too small for me! I am continually looking on there though!

Ive been told that this dress had been in EGG for at least 3years so that's why I thought someone might have one in the back of their cupboard they aren't using I could buy/borrow!

Isn't there a place that does formalwear hireage for pregnant women? Or did I just make that up?

I hope you find it, Zaylah - I don't know anyone who might own one, or I'd ask them for you.

I know they not quite the same at all...but wondered if they might be of similar design and MUCH cheaper....and can be worn after a wedding...the bride surely can give you some leeway being pregnant and not wanting to spend so much money??? I have seen many weddings where a pregnant bridesmaid or maid of honour / matron of honour wore a different design to the rest of the party...and it looked fine....

the other place to look for similar dressy dresses like this style would be ezibuy...i bought one for a FLASH function when 4-5 months pregnant and it looked like it should have been a maternity one...everyone liked it!
