Just wondering how much everyone bleed after their m/c.
It'll be two weeks on Saturday that I m/c-ed and I bleed a fair bit when it happened, then I had a week and a half of a small amount of blood when I went to the bathroom.
The last few days I've been bleeding A LOT and in a fair amount of pain. Hubby is a bit worried but I think I may just have my period and it might be a bit heavier than it usually is...

Hi Kelzie-rose. So sorry about your loss.
I mc'd at 9 1/2 weeks in August and bled very heavy with clots and strong cramps for about 5 hours (had misopostal to bring the mc on), and then steady for 2-3 days and then just a little bit for another 7 odd days, except for one day about 5 days after mc when I got some strong cramps again for a few hours and passed a few more largish clots.
I didn't get my period for a litlle over a month later and I've read it's pretty usual to have that kind of time or a bit longer before your next AF after an mc.
It might pay to see if you can get another scan to check that you don't have any 'retained products' from the mc left as that is a problem for some people.
Hope you work out what is happening soon

I went for about 2 weeks, but it was quite light bleeding towards the end. Might pay to see your Dr to get the increase checked out. My Dr said its common for your period to be 2-4 weeks delayed after a MC.

Hi, This is Kelzie's husband.
She wanted me to update this sight to let you all know that the bleeding got worse so she ended up in hospital.
She's there overnight for observation and more scans tomorrow

Copied from my post at the Charting - TTC After M/c thread:
Hey team, I'm ok. Got out of hospital yesterday about 4ish and after not being able to sleep the whole time I was there, I sat down on the couch, logged on and immediately fell asleep!
So... What happened I hear you ask?
Well when I m/c-ed ( ) two weeks ago, I went to ShoreCare who poked around and said I had had a complete miscarriage. So i didn't feel the need to panic. I bled somewhat heavily for a few days and then for a week and a bit it was really light, which we figured was normal. When it got a lot worse, Hubby was worried and I was a bit blase about it.
But when I was an work on Friday I bled lots - TOO MUCH INFO ALERT: right through a pad, my knickers and my work pants - and so drove home very fast (or not so fast, I work in Mangere and live in Torbay and it was rush hour traffic) and Hubby took me straight to ShoreCare, who had a poke around and told me to go to North Shore Hospital. And... Who kindly called up the gynaecology department and told them we were coming, otherwise we'd of had a much longer weight. At this point I had been passing huge clots of tissue, probably about the size of my fist which FREAKED me out.
So got to the Emergency Room where - and I do feel bad about this - I went in to the Acute Ward before anyone in the waiting room. After a while, the gynaecologist came in and opened me up and scraped around and got some tissue out. Hubby came back in and she was very excited to show him what she had extracted from me, which was odd.
Anyway so Hubby had to go, I had a bit cry, which alerted a male nurse who thought I was in pain so I was given morphine. (Mmmm morphine!)
About 1am I got moved to the observation ward which was quieter except for the lady next to me snoring! Couldn't sleep so they gave me more morphine. (Mmmm morphine!) Made me lovely and drowsy but I didn't sleep.
Still hadn't eaten since the Friday lunchtime as I might need surgery, so spent all Saturday morning listening to other people eat their hospital food breakfast and finally got taken for a ultrasound and internal scan about noon where we were told there would be some more bleeding and a few older clots (?) to pass but I wouldn't need surgery or anything. So... That's it!
I'm doing ok now, and I'm touched that you were all worried! Hope you're all doing ok :)

Kelzie_Rose-glad to hear it's all sorted now. That must have been very scary-for you & your DH. Sorry you had to go through this long drawn out process & hope it's all over now & you can start to heal, physically & emotionally.
Big hugs to you...
